Dark reddish orange-brown stigmas.
Hand harvested.
To harvest the stigmas (the part of the flower that produces the spice).
The farmer cuts off the top of the flower head with a knife.
Then our team of farmers uses their hands to squeeze the stigmas out of the flower head.
This process can take up to two weeks.
Once the stigmas are hand harvested. They dried in the sun for several days until they turned reddish yellow.
