 One of the most popular ancestral varieties of Green Elaichi is known across the country. Most of the farmers are Gi tag certified. 

Cardamom, also recognized as elaichi or queen of spices, is a spindle-shaped spice.

It is often used in Indian and Middle Eastern cuisine. Cardamom can be used whole or ground and is available both pre-packaged and in bulk.

Elakki | Yalakulu

When purchasing cardamom, look for green pods with smooth surfaces. 

Avoid pods that are brittle or have black spots.

Ground cardamom will keep for about six months in an airtight container, while whole pods will stay fresh for about a year.
