Alphonso Mango Advance Payment Receipt for Corporate Orders

By Prashant Powle  •  0 comments  •   6 minute read

Learn what an advance payment receipt for corporate mango orders must show: PO details, refund terms, pricing, and how it differs from a GST invoice.

An advance payment receipt for a corporate mango order should show the payer and payee names, amount, date, mode of payment, order reference and what the advance covers. AlphonsoMango.in publishes prepaid payment only (UPI, cards, net banking, wallets); receipt format, invoice and GST treatment are confirmed in writing with the quote.

Receipt, invoice, order confirmation: three different things

People use the words loosely. Finance teams should not.

An order confirmation says the seller received your order. A payment receipt says money changed hands, how much and when. An invoice is the tax document that records the sale, with GST details where applicable. An advance receipt is a receipt for money paid before the goods are delivered; the invoice, in many arrangements, follows later. What each document looks like at AlphonsoMango.in for a corporate order is not published, so I will not describe it as if it were. Ask which documents you will get, when, and in whose name.

This is a buyer-side explainer, not tax advice. Check how advances are treated for GST with your adviser and the GST portal.

What a corporate advance receipt should show

  • Payer's exact legal name and billing address.
  • Payee's name: Powle Home Foods, which operates AlphonsoMango.in.
  • Amount, date and mode of payment, with the transaction reference.
  • Your PO number or the order reference.
  • What the advance covers: which grade, quantity and delivery window.
  • How the advance is adjusted against the final invoice.
  • What happens to the advance if the order cannot be fulfilled.

The last two lines are the ones that matter in a dispute. Our published refund position is that if an order cannot be fulfilled (unserviceable PIN, stock-out or weather), the refund is full, to the original payment method within seven business days of approval. For a negotiated advance structure, get the adjustment and refund wording in the quote.

A worked example: a 40 percent advance

Illustrative only. Advance structures are not published, and this is a method, not an offer.

A company plans 100 medium dozens for clients, to be delivered in two batches. At published single-dozen prices, 100 x 2,099 = Rs 209,900. Suppose the parties agree a 40 percent advance: Rs 83,960 at booking, with the balance of Rs 125,940 before dispatch. The receipt for the advance should state Rs 83,960 paid, reference the order of 100 dozens at the agreed rate, and say that it will be adjusted against the invoice. If 4 dozens cannot be delivered because of unserviceable PINs, the refund due is 4 x 2,099 = Rs 8,396, and the final invoice should show Rs 201,504. Your accounts sheet then reconciles: advance 83,960, balance 117,544, total 201,504.

That is it. A handful of numbers, and no confusion at year end.

Questions finance should ask in writing

  1. What documents will you issue: receipt, order confirmation, invoice?
  2. Will the invoice carry GST details, and in which entity's name?
  3. How is an advance adjusted against the invoice?
  4. What is refunded if the order is only partly fulfilled?
  5. How long do refunds take and to which account?
  6. Whom do we contact for a copy of a missing document?

Send them to WhatsApp +91 70830 75556 or support@alphonsomango.in. Replies come within one business day. Keep the reply with your PO. For gifting orders, the corporate gifting form starts the enquiry, and the gifting page lists boxes from Rs 2,249.

Keeping the audit trail clean

A simple file per order: the quote, the PO, the payment confirmation and receipt, the dispatch notice and tracking links, delivery confirmations, any claim, and the final invoice. Name the files by order number. At year end, reconcile advance receipts against invoices; anything unmatched is a question for the supplier, asked while the season is fresh in everyone's mind.

Pay through the checkout or the channel the quote names. Do not pay to a personal account on the strength of a chat message. If a payment instruction arrives from an unfamiliar number or email, confirm it with the team on the published WhatsApp number before sending money.

How an order reaches the recipient

Fruit is harvested to order in season, packed against the order and shipped semi-ripe. Dispatch runs Monday to Saturday; orders received before 1:00 PM IST go the same day. BlueDart carries fresh mangoes to serviceable PIN codes. Tracking links arrive by email and WhatsApp. Payment is prepaid, with no cash on delivery. Claims for transit damage open for 24 hours after delivery, with photos and the order number. The season usually runs February to June; the 2027 season is listed to start on 1 February 2027. See the shipping policy and return policy.

Carbide and the compliance file

Your compliance team will ask. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011; it releases acetylene and can carry arsenic and phosphorus impurities. Ethylene, up to 100 ppm, is the permitted method. Check fssai.gov.in for current text. White or grey powder in a carton is a warning sign, and a float test is only a rough clue.

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally (on hay beds, as our FAQ states).

Frequently asked questions

What should an advance payment receipt include?

Payer and payee names, amount, date, payment mode and reference, order or PO reference, what the advance covers, how it is adjusted against the invoice and what happens if the order cannot be fulfilled.

Does AlphonsoMango.in accept advance payments?

Published orders are prepaid by UPI, cards, net banking or wallets. A staged advance for a large corporate order is not published; ask the team and have the terms confirmed in the quote.

Is a receipt the same as a GST invoice?

No. A receipt records payment; an invoice is the tax document for the sale. GST invoice terms are not published, so ask the team to confirm what you will receive and when.

What if part of my order cannot be delivered?

If an order or part of it cannot be fulfilled, the affected value is refunded to the original payment method within seven business days of approval. Confirm partial-refund wording in the quote.

Can I pay by bank transfer?

Published payment methods are UPI, cards, net banking and wallets. Ask the team if you need another route, and only pay to the account or link they confirm on the published WhatsApp number.

Are the mangoes carbide-free?

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally, on hay beds, as our FAQ states. Carbide ripening is illegal in India.

Is cash on delivery available?

No. All published orders are prepaid, and the price shown at checkout is the full price.
