AlphonsoMango.in does not ship retail orders to the US. NRIs in the US can order from anywhere for delivery to an address in India. Commercial export enquiries, including the US, go through our APEDA-registered exporter page, where the season is March to June by air freight. Terms and paperwork are confirmed by enquiry.

The short answer, and why
No retail shipping to the US. Let me explain, so it does not read like a brush-off.
Fresh Alphonso is a fragile fruit that ripens on a clock. Sending a single dozen across the world means air freight, import clearance, cold-chain handling and a destination country's plant-health rules, and each of those multiplies the risk to the fruit and the cost to you. Our retail model is built around domestic courier delivery: harvest to order, pack against the order, ship semi-ripe by BlueDart to serviceable PIN codes in India. We do not extend it abroad, and we say so rather than quote you a price for a service we do not run.
What we do offer is a way to get mangoes to people you love, and a route for traders.
Option one: gift mangoes to family in India
If your parents, siblings or friends live in India, you can order from the US and have the fruit delivered to them. Our NRI mango gift page is the place to start, and the gifting page has gift boxes from Rs 2,249.
The practicalities:
- Payment is prepaid, by UPI, cards, net banking or wallets. Check which methods work from your location at checkout; no cash on delivery.
- Use the receiver's Indian address, PIN code and mobile number. Check the PIN on the product page, since fresh fruit goes only to serviceable PINs.
- Tell the recipient to expect the box and to be home on the first attempt.
- Mind the time zone: orders received before 1:00 PM IST dispatch the same day, Monday to Saturday.
Listed dozens of Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso run Rs 1,849 to Rs 2,999, delivery free. A rough view in dollars is unreliable because exchange rates move; convert at your bank's rate on the day. The recipient gets semi-ripe fruit that finishes ripening in a few days, and a claim route if something is wrong: photos or video within 24 hours of delivery on WhatsApp +91 70830 75556.
Option two: a commercial export enquiry
We are an APEDA-registered exporter, registration 225579, and our mango export page names the US, UK, UAE, Singapore and Japan as markets, with a season of March to June by air freight. The APEDA page has more. These are for businesses: importers, distributors, retailers and caterers, not for a single household.
What we do not publish: export prices, minimum quantities, incoterms, documents and certificates, payment terms. They are handled by enquiry and confirmed in the quote. When you write, say what you want: quantity, grade, target week, destination port or city and your import licence status.
What US importers generally need to check
General information only, not advice. Rules change. Verify at the official sources and with your customs broker.
- The United States has historically required Indian mangoes to be treated, commonly by irradiation at an approved facility in India, under USDA plant-health arrangements, with the right phytosanitary documentation. Check the current USDA APHIS requirements.
- Food imports are subject to FDA oversight, including prior notice and facility registration requirements for food.
- Labels, country of origin marking and any GI-related claims have their own rules.
- Air freight timing matters: fruit must clear and reach the shelf inside its ripening window.
On the Indian side, APEDA registration is the exporter-side marker; verify at apeda.gov.in. A serious exporter will walk you through the document list in writing. Ours is confirmed by enquiry, and I will not guess at documents here.
If you want to buy Indian mangoes in the US
Buy from a US importer or a retailer that stocks imported fruit during the season, and apply the same checks you would to any seller: origin, grade, weight, ripening and a clear claim process. Ask if the fruit is Ratnagiri or Devgad Alphonso, and whether the seller can state how it was treated and ripened. Expect prices that reflect air freight and treatment costs. We are not an importer and cannot vouch for any US retailer.
For general buying checks, our guides to checking a seller and buying Alphonso online apply anywhere. The season for our fruit is usually February to June in India, with the 2027 season listed to start 1 February 2027. Check the order page for live dates.
Ripening, carbide and quality
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally (on hay beds, as our FAQ states). As our Brand Facts page states, fruit comes from 48+ source villages across Raigad, Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg, is hand-harvested, graded and ripened on hay beds in temperature-controlled rooms; see Our Farmers.
Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the FSS (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. It releases acetylene and can carry arsenic and phosphorus impurities. FSSAI permits controlled ethylene up to 100 ppm; check fssai.gov.in. Street name: Masala. Wherever the fruit is sold, look for white or grey powder in cartons, hard flesh under yellow skin and flat sourness near the stone. A float test is a rough clue; only a lab test proves it.
