Hapus mango price in Pune: what you will actually pay
If you search for the mango rate in Pune, you will find three kinds of numbers: a rate by weight at a wholesale market, a per-dozen rate at a fruit shop, and a per-box rate online. They are not the same thing, so they cannot be compared directly. Here is our dozen price, with what a dozen weighs next to it.
We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, the business behind AlphonsoMango.in. We sell Alphonso (Hapus) from Ratnagiri and Devgad, and these are our prices. Prices are "from" prices on the live store and may change, so check the product page for the price.

Hapus price by the dozen, and what a dozen weighs
We sell by the dozen. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. The bigger the fruit, the heavier the dozen and the higher the price.
When you compare sellers, ask for the grade, the fruit count and the weight, not only the rate. If a rate looks low, also ask where the fruit was grown and how it was ripened. A low rate may mean a smaller grade.
This holds for any seller, at the market yard or online. Always ask for the weight, not only the count.

Why Hapus is expensive
- Short season. Alphonso is harvested about February to June, and the best supply is March to May.
- Limited belt. Alphonso with the GI comes from a defined stretch of the Konkan coast, and yields vary from year to year.
- Handling. The skin is thin, so the fruit needs careful handling.
- Grade. Larger fruit weighs more, so a dozen of a larger grade costs more.
None of this means a higher price is always a better mango. It means you should ask what you are paying for, as with any food product.
Pune market or online order
Pune's wholesale markets are good for seeing fruit in person. Rates there change often with arrivals, so a number printed on a web page can go out of date quickly. We do not publish market rates for them. What you can compare is how clearly each seller tells you the variety, origin, weight and ripening method.
Our product pages show the grade and the weight range. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. The bucket test is only a rough clue, not proof, so rely on the seller's paperwork instead.
Hapus mango delivery to Pune
We ship by Blue Dart. About 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery, but that is a share across India, not a promise for Pune. Enter your PIN code at checkout to see what applies to your address. Keep the fruit at room temperature until it softens slightly, and refrigerate only once it is ripe. Alphonso generally takes about 15 days from harvest to ripening.
The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Out of season we do not sell fresh Alphonso. If you want the taste before the season, Alphonso pulp tins are available all year, from Rs 590. See the Alphonso pulp page.
We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. We made our first sales offline in 2019 and have sold online since 2020. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller.

Choosing a box size and variety
A dozen of Alphonso is the usual starting point, and larger grades cost more and weigh more. Kesar is a different variety with a lower starting price, from Rs 999 per box, and you can see it on the Kesar mango page. Pairi is another variety, one dozen at Rs 2,799, on the Pairi mango page.
Plan the quantity to what you can finish once the fruit is ripe, and order again later in the season if you need more. A dozen of a smaller grade is easier to finish quickly, while a larger grade gives you more fruit and more weight for the higher price. Supply is at its best from March to May.
If a box arrives damaged, write to us and we will look at it.
