Devgad Alphonso mangoes online in Mumbai: order the dozen on AlphonsoMango.in, from Rs 1,849, and Blue Dart brings the box to your door. Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district on the Konkan coast, and its Alphonso carries the GI registered as No. 139.
Devgad Alphonso and the Devgad name
Mumbai households know Hapus well, and Devgad is a name many buyers search for. Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district on the Konkan coast; Ratnagiri, its neighbour to the north, is a district of its own. Both grow Alphonso, the same variety, and both fall under the same GI, No. 139. We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139).

We are Powle Home Foods, based in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. Our Devgad fruit is sourced across the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, 55 villages in all, and the Devgad listing is sold by the dozen from Rs 1,849, up to Rs 5,499 for the largest grade. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Check the Devgad Alphonso Mango page for today's price.
We have sold mangoes since 2019 offline and online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. Mumbai is where we are based and where many of those buyers live, but the order process is the same as for any other city.
Devgad or Ratnagiri: how to decide
We sell both and do not rank them. They are the same variety under the same GI, and what differs from one dozen to the next is the grade, not the belt. If you want to try both in a season, order one dozen of each and judge for yourself.

- Start with grade. Fruits run from about 150 g to 300 g, and the dozen price follows size.
- Then pick the belt you prefer on the Devgad or Ratnagiri page.
- Read the guide to the two names in Ratnagiri and Devgad Hapus.
For other fruit, Kesar is Rs 999 for a half-dozen and Rs 1,699 a dozen, and Pairi is from Rs 2,799 per dozen. See the full mango collection.
Delivery to Mumbai addresses
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise next-day delivery for Mumbai or any named city; the checkout shows what applies to your PIN code, and that message is the one to rely on.

A few practical points for Mumbai addresses:
- Society gates. Tell the watchman to expect a Blue Dart parcel, and add your flat number and wing to the address.
- Someone must receive it. Fresh fruit should not sit at a gate for hours in April or May heat.
- Office delivery works if reception accepts perishable parcels.
- Charges show at checkout; see the shipping charges guide.
Open the box on arrival. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029. Other Mumbai pages on this site include Alphonso home delivery in Mumbai and mango online in Mumbai.
Reading a Devgad listing: grade, count and price
The Devgad page offers more than one grade, and the difference between them is fruit size. Alphonso fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g, so a dozen of small fruit and a dozen of the largest fruit are not the same purchase. The product page shows the grade for each option; read it before you pick the cheapest line.
- Everyday eating and aamras: a smaller grade gives you more fruit for the money, and the pulp is the same.
- Serving whole at a table: a larger grade looks better and cuts into generous cheeks.
- Gifting: larger grades suit a gift; our gifting page explains what we can arrange.
The GI matters here only as an origin credential: it tells you the variety and the belt, and it does not tell you the size or the ripeness of the fruit in your box. Those come from the grade you pick and from how you handle the fruit after delivery. Whichever you choose, compare dozens of the same grade if you are comparing sellers. A dozen at a lower price may simply be a dozen of smaller fruit.
The Alphonso season for Mumbai buyers
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Harvest is done at Brahma Muhurta, before dawn, and fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, but the Alphonso mango pulp tin (850 g and 3.1 kg, from Rs 590) is available all year. Our season guide has the month-by-month view.
Ripening in Mumbai humidity
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller.

Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so a box can arrive with some fruit firm. Mumbai is humid from April, and ripe fruit spoils fast in that air:
- Spread the mangoes in a single layer in the coolest room, out of the sun.
- Check each morning for a sweet smell at the stalk and slight give at the shoulder.
- Do not refrigerate firm fruit. Chill a ripe one briefly if you cannot eat it that day.
- If many ripen together, make aamras and freeze it in small portions.
The bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof of how a mango was ripened. Our home ripening guide covers the method in full.
Nutrition and ways to eat it
Raw mango provides about 36 mg of vitamin C per 100 g, roughly 40% of the Daily Value, and about 43 micrograms of folate. These are generic mango figures, not Alphonso-specific lab data. Mango also carries natural sugars, so people managing diabetes should ask their doctor. In Mumbai homes Hapus is eaten cut, as aamras with puri, or as a shake; see our aamras recipe and mango nutrition facts.
