Sending Alphonso Mangoes as a Gift to Parents, Family or NRIs

You can send an Alphonso mango gift to your parents by ordering a dozen online and entering their address as the delivery address. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check the PIN code at checkout.

Mango gift delivery options at a glance

Fresh Alphonso is harvested from about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside that window we do not sell fresh Alphonso, so a gift for a birthday in October needs a different idea. Alphonso pulp tins are available all year.

Sending a mango gift to your parents in India

The process is simple. Pick the fruit on the product page, add it to the cart, and put your parents' name, address and phone number in the delivery details. Give a phone number your parents will answer. Someone has to be at home to receive the box, because mangoes should not sit in a closed box for long.

• Give a reachable phone number. Add the number of a neighbour or a relative as well, if you can.
• Check the PIN code first. About 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. We do not promise next-day delivery for any named city, so check at checkout.
• Tell them it is coming. A call on the day of dispatch avoids a refused parcel.
• Open the box on arrival. Fruit that is firm can ripen at room temperature, away from direct sun. We ask that any damage be reported within 24 hours of delivery.

Choosing the fruit for a parent

Most buyers want the Hapus they remember. Both the Ratnagiri Alphonso and the Devgad Alphonso are the same variety, and both start from Rs 1,849 per dozen. Check the product page for the current price. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade, so decide whether your parents want a few large fruits or a lot of smaller ones. For two people, a smaller grade may be easier to finish before it ripens too far.

If your parents prefer a different taste, our Kesar mango starts from Rs 999 per box and is a separate variety, not Alphonso. Do not describe it as Alphonso when you tell your parents what is coming.

The fruit comes from our network across 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast, a stretch of India's western coast between the Arabian Sea and the Deccan Plateau. We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139), and the details are on the Brand Facts page. Harvest is done at Brahma Muhurta, before dawn. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.

Can I gift mangoes to someone in another city?

Yes. You can order from Mumbai, or any other city, and send the gift to Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata or another city in India. You enter the recipient's address instead of your own. What changes from city to city is the delivery time, which depends on the PIN code. Check it at checkout and order a few days before the day you want the gift to arrive.

For NRIs sending a mango gift to family in India

If you live abroad, you can still send mangoes to your family in India. You order online and enter your family's Indian address as the delivery address. We have a page for this: NRI mango gift page. Choosing the seller matters more when you cannot be there. Ask for these things before you pay:

• The variety, origin and a credential you can check.
• The grade and the weight of a dozen.
• The delivery partner and how the recipient will be contacted.
• How damage is handled. Our rule is that damage should be reported within 24 hours of delivery.
• Who your parents can call if something goes wrong.

Sending mangoes abroad to family

Gifting mangoes to relatives outside India is a different matter. We ship directly to the UAE. For other countries, including the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia, shipments have been arranged through the customer's contact abroad. That is not a standard service, so please do not assume we can ship to your country. Write to us first.

Every country has its own import rules for fresh fruit, and they change. Check current rules with your importer or customs agent before you plan a shipment. A parcel stopped at customs does not help anyone. If you only want your family abroad to enjoy Alphonso, it may be simpler to buy locally there.

A personal message and birthday gifts

A handwritten line makes a mango gift feel personal. Tell us the message when you order, or write to us, and ask us to confirm that it can be included. Do not rely on a message being added unless we have confirmed it for your order.

For a birthday, anniversary or baby shower in the season, time the order so the fruit arrives a day or two before the date, not on it. Mangoes ripen at their own pace, and a firm fruit can be held for a few days at room temperature. For a birthday outside the season, consider Alphonso pulp tins, which are sold all year from Rs 590. What to check with any seller

Whichever seller you choose, get the answers before you order: the exact product and grade, the price including delivery, the delivery partner, the expected arrival date for your PIN code, and what happens if the fruit arrives damaged.
