Authentic Alphonso Mango in Delhi: Get Yours Now - AlphonsoMango.in

Alphonso mango in Delhi, also called Hapus, comes from the Konkan coast. Order Ratnagiri or Devgad fruit online. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery.

How ordering Alphonso mango in Delhi works

Alphonso does not grow in Delhi. It grows on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, and the fruit travels to you after you order. Hapus is the Marathi name for Alphonso, so a search for Hapus mango in Delhi leads to the same fruit. We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, the business behind AlphonsoMango.in, and the steps are the same for a house in South Delhi, a flat in Dwarka or an office in Connaught Place.

  1. Pick the fruit. Open the Ratnagiri Alphonso page or the Devgad Alphonso page and choose a dozen or box option.
  2. Enter your Delhi address and PIN code. Do this before you pay, because delivery depends on the PIN code.
  3. We dispatch by Blue Dart. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. About 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. We never promise next-day delivery for a named city, so rely on the checkout check, not on a general promise.
  4. Let it ripen at home. Keep the box at room temperature, away from direct sun, until the fruit gives slightly near the stalk.

Our boxes start from Rs 1,849 per dozen, and a dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. For a full breakdown of what moves the price, see our page on Alphonso mango price in Delhi.

Which mango to order for a Delhi home

Devgad Alphonso mango box for Delhi homes

Many Delhi families order more than one kind. Alphonso is the Konkan mango known as Hapus. Kesar is a separate variety from Gujarat, and Pairi is another. They differ in taste and price, and none is a substitute for the others.

Mango varieties you can order from AlphonsoMango.in
Variety Price Page
Ratnagiri Alphonso From Rs 1,849 per dozen Ratnagiri Alphonso
Devgad Alphonso From Rs 1,849 per dozen Devgad Alphonso
Kesar From Rs 999 per box Kesar Mango
Pairi From Rs 2,799 for 1 dozen Pairi Mango

Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso are the same variety from neighbouring parts of the Konkan, and we do not rank one above the other. Pick by the grade and dozen size that suits your household. Check each product page for the current price.

It helps to plan quantity before you choose a grade. Mangoes in one box tend to ripen within a few days of each other, so order for the days ahead rather than for the whole month. A small household may prefer a dozen of a smaller grade, while a joint family or a gifting plan may call for a larger grade or two boxes. If you are unsure, write to us with the number of people and we will suggest a size.

Sending a box from Mumbai to Delhi as a gift

A lot of searches from Delhi are really about sending a gift from somewhere else, such as "send Alphonso mangoes to Delhi" or "courier mangoes from Mumbai to Delhi". If you are in Mumbai or elsewhere and want a box to reach a Delhi address, you can order it with the recipient's Delhi address and PIN code at checkout.

  • Enter the Delhi address as the delivery address and check the PIN code.
  • Tell the recipient that a box is coming, so that someone can receive it and open it soon.
  • Pick a larger grade if it is a gift, and see our gifting page for ideas.

If you need several boxes for an office or for families in different cities, write to us with the quantity, the cities and the dates you need, and we will tell you what is possible. Our corporate gifting guide lists the questions to ask any supplier. We do supply restaurants and hotels in general terms, and corporate orders follow the same enquiry route.

Delhi mangoes and Konkan Alphonso are different fruit

Delhi has its own mango culture. Uttar Pradesh, one of India's biggest mango-growing states, sends Dasheri, Langra and Chausa to the capital, and the city has a mango festival of its own. Our article on the mango festival in Delhi covers that side of the story.

Alphonso is a Konkan fruit and does not grow around Delhi. The Konkan is the stretch of the western coast between the Arabian Sea and the Deccan Plateau, and Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are among its districts. Fruit for Delhi has to travel from there, which is why the ripening method and the origin are worth asking about.

Buying mango online or from a Delhi market

A market lets you smell the fruit and pick each piece. An online order lets you choose the origin and the variety, and it reaches your door without a trip. Both can work. What matters is the same list of questions.

What to compare when you buy mango in Delhi
Question Market stall Online order
Origin Ask the seller Product page names the belt
Ripening Ask the seller Stated on the page
Count and size You see the fruit Dozen with a size grade

What to check before you pay a Delhi seller

Whether you buy from a shop, a market stall or a website, the questions are the same. Ask for the variety and the region, ask how many fruits are in the dozen and what the box weighs, and ask how the fruit was ripened.

Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. No home test proves how a mango was ripened or where it grew; a bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof.

We hold the GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The Brand Facts page lists the details, and our FSSAI licence number is 10020022011783. Our fruit is sourced across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, and it is picked by hand with a zela pole fitted with a catching net. We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales.

After the box arrives: ripening in Delhi

Ripe Alphonso mango with golden skin and saffron flesh

Open the box on the day it arrives and check the fruit. Our fruit is ripened on hay beds before it travels, but individual mangoes finish at different speeds. Keep the box indoors, in the coolest room, out of direct sun and away from a hot window, because Delhi summers speed ripening. Do not put unripe fruit in the fridge. Once a mango is ripe and you cannot eat it quickly, the fridge is fine, and you should let it warm up before you cut it.

If a box arrives damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery. Our guide on Alphonso mango ripening shows how to judge ripeness by touch and smell.
