Mango pulp price depends on the variety, the pack size and how the pulp is processed. Our Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin is sold in two sizes, 850 g from Rs 590 and 3.1 kg at Rs 2,100. Check the product page before you order.
Alphonso mango pulp price: our two tin sizes

We sell one pulp product, the Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin, in two pack sizes. The prices below are the prices on the product page; they can change, so confirm on the page before you pay.
| Pack | Price | Suits |
|---|---|---|
| 850 g tin | Rs 590 | A family trying aamras, lassi or a dessert. |
| 3.1 kg tin | Rs 2,100 | Parties, caterers, cafes and kitchens that use pulp every week. |
We do not quote a price per kilogram. If you compare two brands, compare the net weight printed on each tin and the price of the whole tin, then look at what is inside. The label, not the headline price, tells you what you are buying.
What changes mango pulp price
There is no single market price for mango pulp, because the products are not the same. These are the factors that move the price of any tin.
- Variety. Pulp can be made from Alphonso, Totapuri, Kesar and other mangoes. APEDA lists Alphonso, Totapuri, Neelum and Kesar among the varieties used. Alphonso pulp is described as rich, creamy and non-fibrous, which is one reason people pay more for it.
- Source and grade of the fruit. Fruit from a defined area such as the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt costs more to source than mixed fruit from many places.
- Processing. Pulp is sterilised and packed in aseptic bags or in hermetically sealed cans, according to APEDA. Packing format, sugar added and shelf life all affect cost.
- Pack size. A larger tin usually costs less for each gram than a small one, but only you know how much you will finish after opening.
- Season of the fruit. Alphonso pulp is made from in-season fruit, then sold through the year.

When a tin looks cheap, check the variety on the label first. A tin sold as "mango pulp" may not be Alphonso at all. Only the label and the seller can tell you.
Price also depends on what you plan to cook. For a single batch of aamras at home, the 850 g tin is simpler and wastes less. For a cafe that makes lassi daily, the larger tin means fewer orders and fewer deliveries. Think about how quickly you will finish a tin once it is open, not only about the rupee figure on the page.
How to compare mango pulp tins
Use the same few checks for any brand, ours included.
- Variety on the label. Is it Alphonso, Kesar, Totapuri or a blend?
- Ingredients. Look for added sugar or other additives listed on the label.
- Net weight. A tin may hold 850 g, 1 kg or 3.1 kg, so the same price does not buy the same amount.
- Packer and licence. A food packer should print an FSSAI licence number and the packer's address.
- Best before date. Read it before you buy, and note the storage advice after opening.
For our tin, the ingredients, sugar and storage details are on the product page, which is the source to trust over any summary here. Write to us at support@alphonsomango.in if you want a detail confirmed before you order.
Pulp, puree and aamras: what is the difference
Mango pulp is the flesh of ripe mangoes with skin and seed removed. Puree is usually smoother and may be strained further. Aamras, also called keri no ras or ambyacha ras, is the Maharashtrian and Gujarati dish of sweet mango pulp, served with puri or chapati. Many families make aamras from a tin outside the season. Our guide to the difference between mango pulp and puree goes into this, and the aamras recipe shows the classic method.
You can also make pulp at home from fresh fruit; see how to make mango pulp. That route makes sense when you have fresh Alphonso in season and want to freeze portions.
What to make with a tin of Alphonso pulp
A tin is a shortcut to a long list of dishes. Chill it and serve it as aamras with hot puri. Stir it into yoghurt for a mango lassi or into cold milk for a mango milkshake. Fold it into cream for Hapus ice cream, or use it as the base for amrakhand and mango kulfi. Our mango recipes page collects more ideas.
Once you open a tin, move the unused pulp to a clean airtight container, keep it in the refrigerator and follow the storage advice on the label and product page. Freezing leftover pulp in small portions is a common way to avoid waste, and it lets you use a 3.1 kg tin over several weeks. If anyone in the house has a food allergy or a health condition, read the label first, and ask your doctor or dietitian if you are unsure.
Fresh Alphonso or a pulp tin?

The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, while Alphonso pulp tins are available all year. If you want to press your own pulp, order fresh fruit once the season opens. If you want aamras in any month, the tin is the practical choice.

Our fresh Alphonso comes from 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. You can see the Ratnagiri Alphonso and Devgad Alphonso pages for dozens from Rs 1,849.
