Mango Thane buyers can order Alphonso from Rs 1,849 per dozen and Kesar from Rs 999 per box from AlphonsoMango.in. We dispatch from Mumbai by Blue Dart, and the 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Check your Thane PIN code at checkout.

Mangoes you can order for Thane

Thane sits next to Mumbai, and many of our customers there ask us the same simple question: what can I order, and how does it reach my home? We are an online seller with our office in Kurla West, Mumbai. We do not run a shop in Thane, so every order is dispatched by courier to your address.

Fresh mango is seasonal. Fresh Alphonso is harvested about February to June, and Kesar arrives later in that window. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027, and until then the fresh listings stay unavailable. Always check the product page for the current price, and read the grade or box options before you add to cart.

Alphonso or Kesar: which to buy

Alphonso and Kesar are different varieties, so the choice depends on what you want from the fruit. Neither is better in every way. The table gives the plain differences.

Alphonso and Kesar compared
Point Alphonso (Hapus) Kesar
Home region Konkan coast of Maharashtra Gujarat, around Junagadh and Gir
Fruit weight Generally 150 to 300 g Varies by box, see the product page
Flesh Rich, creamy, non-fibrous Orange, saffron-coloured pulp
Usual market months About February to June, best supply March to May Generally April and May
Our price From Rs 1,849 per dozen From Rs 999 per box

Wikipedia notes that Kesar is said to have been grown in 1931 by the Junagadh Wazir Sale Bhai, and to have been known as Kesar since 1934, when the Nawab of Junagadh remarked on its orange pulp. We keep the hedge, because the story is traditional. If you want to see how people choose between them, our Gir Kesar mango buying guide covers Kesar in more detail.

A simple way to decide: choose Alphonso when you want the classic Hapus flavour, for aamras or for a gift. Choose Kesar when you want a different mango at a lower entry price, or when you want to try both in one season.

How delivery to Thane works

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. That figure is for India as a whole, so it does not promise a day for Thane. Enter your Thane PIN code at checkout to see what applies to your address. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city.

Fresh fruit arrives firm so that it can finish ripening at home. It travels in a corrugated box with a 12-slot partition and a hay bed, and each fruit sits in a foam-net sleeve to limit rubbing. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in or calling 8369048029.

Tips for apartments and societies

Many Thane homes are in towers and housing societies, so deliveries often pass through a gate and a security desk. Small steps avoid trouble with fruit.

  1. Write your wing, floor and flat number clearly, and add a phone number that is reachable.
  2. Tell the security desk to expect a box, and ask them to keep it indoors and out of direct sun.
  3. Collect the box as soon as it arrives. Fruit left in a hot lobby ripens fast.
  4. Open it, check the fruit and report any damage within 24 hours of delivery.

Where the fruit comes from

Our Alphonso is sourced across 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast. Ratnagiri is a district, and Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139), and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). You can verify our other credentials on the Brand Facts page. Our Kesar comes from Gujarat and is not covered by that certificate.

We harvest by hand with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so the tree is not shaken and the fruit does not fall. We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. For the difference between the two Alphonso origins, you can read our Ratnagiri vs Devgad Alphonso guide.

Ripening and storage

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Fruit ripens over several days, so do not hurry it. When the box arrives, leave the fruit at room temperature, in a single layer and out of direct sun. Do not refrigerate unripe fruit. Once the skin gives slightly and the fruit smells sweet near the stalk, eat it, or chill it and eat it within a couple of days. If you cut a mango, keep the rest in a covered container in the refrigerator.

We also supply restaurants and hotels in general terms, so write to us if you buy for a business.
