Order Mangoes Online — Thane
Thane sits less than an hour from our Mumbai packhouse. That matters: fruit dispatched at 70–80% ripeness arrives firm, then finishes ripening naturally in your home within three days of delivery. You are not getting a mango that sat in a cold store for weeks.
Ratnagiri vs Devgad Alphonso: Which to Choose?
Both carry GI No. 139. The difference is geography: Ratnagiri orchards face the Arabian Sea from slightly more northerly slopes; Devgad orchards, sourced from villages like Jamsande, Vijaydurg and Kunkeshwar in Sindhudurg, sit further south where the sea breeze is stronger. Our repeat-order data — from 47,000+ customers — shows north India consistently choosing Ratnagiri while Mumbai buyers lean Devgad. Draw your own conclusion.

Delivery Across India
Fruit leaves our Malvan packing centre or Devgad packing point within 48–72 hours of harvest. The sequence: two hours from tree to packhouse, post-harvest hot-water treatment and cooling, 10–12 hours by air-conditioned van to our Mumbai packhouse, then 24–48 hours of natural hay-bed ripening before dispatch. Orders placed before 12 noon IST (Monday to Saturday) are dispatched the same day. Delivery takes 1 to 3 days for most PIN codes and 1 to 2 days to most metros, depending on your PIN code. Fresh mangoes are delivered by Blue Dart to more than 4,700 PIN codes.
We dispatch via BlueDart, Delhivery, Ekart or XpressBees depending on your pin code. We reach 15,000–17,000 serviceable pin codes. If your pin code is remote, the site will flag it at checkout. We do not ship fresh Alphonso between July and January — the fruit simply does not exist then.
Where the Fruit Comes From
Prashant Powle built the sourcing network starting in 2017. Today it covers 48 coastal villages across Ratnagiri and Devgad. In Ratnagiri taluka alone: Pawas, Golap, Nachane, Mavalange, Waravade, Purnagad, Gaonkhadi, Ambeshet, Mirya, Kalbadevi, Majgaon, Kasheli, Adi. In Devgad taluka: Devgad, Jamsande, Vijaydurg, Dahibav, Hindale, Naringre, Kanyabag, Padel, Girye, Rameshwar, Waghotan, Kunkeshwar, Mithbav, Katwan, Aare, Shirgaon, Tambaldeg, Ilve and others. Over 100 partner farmer families, orchards typically 12–25 years old, selected on Brix consistency and alternate-bearing management.
The farmers follow cultivation SOPs covering which natural sprays and fertilisers are used from flowering to harvest. Fruit is independently tested by Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd., Thane (NABL accredited, TC-8284). Their April 2025 report (01/ETHAP2500044) found all 28 residues within Codex maximum residue limits — 27 of 28 below the limit of quantification at 0.01 mg/kg. We say independently tested and within Codex limits. We do not say pesticide-free.
How We Ripen the Fruit
The mangoes ripen on a hay bed — called Aadi — in temperature-controlled rooms at the Mumbai packhouse. The 24–48 hours there is monitored natural ripening, not gas-triggered. No ethylene chambers. No calcium carbide. No artificial ripening agents of any kind. The fruit is dispatched at 70–80% ripeness, firm enough to survive transit without bruising, and finishes at home within about three days.
This matters in Thane more than most cities realise. Carbide-ripened fruit looks ready but the cell structure is forced — the sugar development is incomplete. Hay-bed fruit develops sugars from the inside out, which is why Devgad Alphonso at peak season can hit 24° Brix and taste like nothing you find at a local market.
Grading and Packaging
Every fruit is weighed at the packhouse. Grades: Small 150–180 g, Medium 180–225 g, Extra Large 250–275 g, Jumbo 275–300 g. An AI/ML-assisted scanner checks each mango for spongy tissue (internal) and surface deformities before it is packed. Fruit that fails either check is set aside — it does not go into your box.
The box itself is a 5-ply corrugated fibreboard (CFB) unit, 130 gsm paper, alternate flute orientation, courier-grade. A 12-slot partition takes the transit pressure instead of the fruit. Every mango sits in a foam-net sleeve (flat width 50–55 mm) on a hay bed. Six air holes — top and bottom — keep airflow during ripening. This packaging is why 46% of our customers reorder and the average buyer takes 2.8 boxes per season.
Nutrition — What You Actually Get
Vitamin C content of Alphonso Mango
Ripe Alphonso pulp contains roughly 30–36 mg of vitamin C per 100 g. A 100 g serving covers about 40–45% of the ICMR-NIN 2020 recommended daily intake for adult men (80 mg/day) and about 50% for adult women (65 mg/day). It also contains mangiferin, a compound studied by Govindappa et al. (2011) for anti-inflammatory activity in cell studies.
One honest note: mango is seasonal fruit with natural sugar. It is not a supplement. Eat it because it is the best fruit India produces for six months of the year, then accept that it is gone.
Season and Availability
The season runs February to June, with peak supply March to May. Outside those months — July to January — we do not stock fresh Alphonso or Kesar mangoes. The tree does not produce them. The 2027 mango season starts on 1 February 2027, and fresh mangoes are out of stock until then.
Season length varies year to year. In June 2026, Prashant Powle was interviewed by The Economic Times on exactly this point — a difficult weather year that put the entire Alphonso crop under pressure. GI-certified fruit is not a factory product; supply is genuinely seasonal and weather-dependent.
