Ordering Mangoes Online: Get Fresh Mangoes Delivered - AlphonsoMango.in

Ordering mangoes online from AlphonsoMango.in takes three steps: choose a Ratnagiri or Devgad Alphonso dozen, add it to your cart, and enter your PIN code at checkout. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery.

How ordering mangoes online works

Ordering mangoes online — GI-tagged Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso Hapus from AlphonsoMango.in

AlphonsoMango.in is run by Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and I started selling mangoes offline in 2019 and online in 2020. Since then we have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. When someone asks me how to order mangoes online without a bad surprise, my answer is to keep the process short and to check a few facts before you pay. Here is the process on our site.

  1. Open the product page. Go to Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango or Devgad Alphonso Mango and pick a size.
  2. Add to cart. Choose the dozen or box option, then open the cart.
  3. Enter your address and PIN code. Checkout confirms whether we can deliver to your PIN code.
  4. Pay and wait for dispatch. We pack and send by Blue Dart.

If you want to compare everything in one place first, the mangoes collection lists each option. Our step-by-step guide on how to order Alphonso mangoes online covers the same flow with a few extra tips.

Ratnagiri or Devgad: which Alphonso to pick

Both are Alphonso, also called Hapus, from the same Konkan belt. Ratnagiri is a district and Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. We source the fruit across 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, and harvest is done at Brahma Muhurta, before dawn. I do not rank one above the other, and I would not trust anyone who claims one is always better.

So how do you choose? Most buyers decide on size and budget first, then on the name they grew up with. If you want a box for a family that eats mangoes daily, a mid-range dozen is usually enough. If you are giving a gift, a larger grade looks more generous. Read the size details on the product page, because the options differ by listing.

Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139). We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139), and the details are on our Brand Facts page. Only Alphonso carries this claim from us.

Sizes, dozens and what you pay

We sell by the dozen, not by the kilo, so I do not quote a per-kilo price. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade, and single Alphonso fruits generally weigh between 150 and 300 g. A smaller grade means more fruit per rupee. A bigger grade means fewer, heavier mangoes that suit gifting.

What our Alphonso options cost, as listed on the site
Option Price Good for
Alphonso, Ratnagiri or Devgad dozen From Rs 1,849 Everyday eating at home
Largest Ratnagiri option Up to Rs 5,399 Gifts and big families
Largest listing on the order-online page Up to Rs 10,499 Large gift boxes
Kesar mango box From Rs 999 A different, Gujarat-grown fruit
Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin (850 g and 3.1 kg) From Rs 590 Aamras and desserts outside the fresh season

These are "from" prices from the live store and can change, so check the product page for the price of the size you want. Our Alphonso Mango order-online page shows the full range in one list. There is no GST on fresh mangoes, and the invoice shows this.

Delivery and what to do on arrival

We dispatch by Blue Dart. About 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery, and the rest take longer. I will not promise a delivery day for a named city, because the PIN code decides it. Enter your PIN code at checkout and the page tells you what is possible for your address. If you are in a big city, our pages for Alphonso mango price and Alphonso mango in Mumbai go into local detail.

  • Give an address where someone will be present to receive the box.
  • Open the box on the day it arrives and lay the fruit in a single layer.
  • Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in.

Read our delivery period for mangoes article if your PIN code is outside the metros.

What to ask any seller before paying

Online sellers vary a great deal, and a nice photo proves nothing. These questions work with any seller, ours included:

  • Which variety and which district or taluka is the fruit from, in writing?
  • Can you show a GI Authorised User certificate number for Alphonso, and an FSSAI licence number?
  • How was the fruit ripened?
  • What happens if fruit arrives damaged, and within how many hours must I report it?
  • Is the price per dozen, per box or per kilo, and what grade does it cover?

On ripening, the law is clear. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide (acetylene) gas is prohibited in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Our FSSAI licence number is 10020022011783. If you want to learn what a real Hapus looks like, read how to identify Alphonso mango. No home test is proof, so use it as a rough clue, not a verdict.

Ripening and storing at home

Fruit that arrives firm needs a few days at room temperature. Keep it in a single layer, out of direct sun, with the stalk end up if you can. Do not keep still-firm fruit in the refrigerator, because cold slows ripening. Ripe mangoes smell sweet near the stalk and give slightly when pressed gently. Once ripe, you can chill them for a few hours before eating.

A paper bag helps a little. The bag holds the ethylene that the fruit releases itself, so ripening speeds up slightly. Avoid a sealed plastic bag, which traps moisture and can spoil the skin. Our guide to how to ripen Alphonso mango has more detail.

Season and off-season orders

Alphonso is harvested from about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, and the fresh listings show as unavailable. Be careful with any site that offers fresh Konkan Alphonso in the wrong months, and ask where the fruit came from.

Our Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin is available all year, in 850 g and 3.1 kg tins, from Rs 590. APEDA notes that mango pulp is sterilised and packed in aseptic bags or hermetically sealed cans. For aamras, the pulp tin is the practical option when fresh fruit is out of season.

Gifts, businesses and other countries

You can send a dozen to someone else by entering their address at checkout. For several recipients, use our gift form or read about mango gifting. We also supply restaurants and hotels, and you can write to us with your quantity, cities and dates.

International delivery is limited. We ship directly to the UAE. For other countries, shipments have been arranged through the customer's contact abroad and are not a standard service, so write to us first.
