What you get when you buy Alphonso mango online from us
We are Powle Home Foods, Mumbai, and AlphonsoMango.in is our store. We started offline in 2019 and online in 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers including offline and marketplace sales. Our Alphonso is sourced across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). We are an FSSAI-licensed seller.

Each fresh listing is one dozen of one grade. There is no mixed box: a dozen of the smallest grade holds twelve small fruits, and a dozen of the largest holds twelve large ones, so you know what is coming before you pay. You choose the weight band, the origin (Ratnagiri or Devgad) and the number of dozens, and the box arrives with fruit that is firm and finishes ripening at home. The names, numbers and licences behind the store are on our Brand Facts page.
Alphonso products and prices
| Product | Sold as | Price from |
|---|---|---|
| Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango | 1 or 2 dozen, five grades | Rs 1,849 per dozen |
| Devgad Alphonso Mango | 1 or 2 dozen, five grades | Rs 1,849 per dozen |

The largest single dozen is Rs 2,999 and two-dozen boxes run from Rs 3,499 to Rs 5,399. All prices are "from" prices and change with grade and availability, so check the product page for today's price. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Ratnagiri is a district and Devgad a taluka in Sindhudurg district; both grow the same variety under GI No. 139, and we do not rank one above the other.

We also list Kesar from Gujarat (half dozen Rs 999, dozen Rs 1,699), Pairi (from Rs 2,799 per dozen) and product pages for Dasheri, Totapuri, Salem and Malgova. Everything is on the mango collection.
How to choose a grade
- Smallest grade (about 150 to 180 g per fruit), from Rs 1,849. Best value for aamras, milkshakes and children's lunch boxes. More fruit per rupee, same taste.
- Middle grades, from Rs 2,099. The usual family box. Good for slicing and for the fruit bowl.
- Largest grade (about 275 to 300 g per fruit), from Rs 2,999. Gifting and festivals; one fruit is a serving.
- Two dozen. For a household that eats a mango a day each, or for sharing with neighbours. Order a second box later rather than storing fruit too long.
- Pulp tin. For the months without fresh fruit, and for anyone who mostly makes aamras.

Alphonso is eaten fresh, pressed into aamras, blended into lassi and shrikhand, frozen into kulfi, and canned as pulp for the rest of the year. Our aamras recipe is the simplest place to start.

How the fruit is ripened, and how to finish it at home
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. The harvest is done by hand, pre-dawn, with a pole and net so the fruit is not dropped, and from harvest to a ripe mango takes about two weeks.

Your box arrives with firm fruit. Keep the mangoes in a single layer at room temperature, away from direct sun, and check them each day. A sweet smell near the stalk and a slight give at the shoulder mean ripe. Do not refrigerate unripe fruit; chill only once ripe, and briefly. No home test, including the bucket-of-water test, proves how a mango was ripened; it is a rough clue, not proof. See how to ripen Alphonso at home and how to identify an Alphonso mango.
Season and the GI tag
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. We do not sell fresh Alphonso outside the season; Alphonso pulp tins are available all year. If an "Alphonso" is offered online in the monsoon or winter, ask where it was grown.
A Geographical Indication ties a product name to its place of origin. Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is registered as GI No. 139, and sellers who source from the belt can hold an Authorised User certificate under it, as we do. The tag covers origin, not ripening or handling, so ask about those separately. Our Alphonso mango GI tag page explains the registry entry, and Alphonso mango season covers the calendar month by month.
