To buy mango online in India, choose the variety, pick a dozen in the fruit size you want, check the seller for an FSSAI licence and a stated ripening method, then enter your PIN code at checkout. We list Alphonso from Rs 1,849 per dozen.
How to buy mango online in India: six steps
We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we have sold mangoes online since 2020 through AlphonsoMango.in, after first selling offline in 2019. This page is the how-to: what to decide, what to check and what to expect, in the order you will meet each question. It applies to any seller, not only to us.

- Pick the variety. Alphonso (Hapus) from the Konkan coast, Kesar from Gujarat, Pairi from Maharashtra (Konkan), or pulp. They are different fruits with different prices and seasons.
- Pick the size and count. Mangoes are sold by the dozen. A dozen of our Alphonso weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade, so the fruit size matters more than the headline price.
- Check the seller. Look for an FSSAI licence, a stated ripening method, and for Alphonso a GI user certificate number. We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139).
- Check delivery for your PIN code. Enter it at checkout before you pay and read what the checkout shows.
- Pay and keep the order number. You will need it if you have to write to the seller later.
- Open the box on arrival. Lay the fruit out, report any damage within 24 hours of delivery, and let firm fruit ripen at room temperature.
The rest of this page takes each step in turn. If you only want the shop, the mango collection lists everything we sell.
Step 1: which mango to buy online
Alphonso is the mango most people mean when they search for mango online in India. It is a small to medium fruit with saffron-coloured, fibre-free pulp and a strong scent, grown on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139. We source across 55 villages of that belt. Ratnagiri is a district; Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Both are the same variety and we do not rank one above the other.
- Ratnagiri Alphonso and Devgad Alphonso: from Rs 1,849 per dozen, five fruit sizes, one and two dozen boxes.
- Kesar: Gujarat's orange-pulped mango, half-dozen Rs 999 and dozen Rs 1,699. Good for juice, shakes and daily eating.
- Pairi: a Konkan mango, often mixed into aamras for its tang; dozen from Rs 2,799.
- Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin: 850 g and 3.1 kg tins from Rs 590, all year.
Check the product page for the current price. For a plain-language comparison of the varieties, read our types of mangoes guide.
Step 2: size, count and what a dozen costs

Two boxes labelled "Alphonso, 1 dozen" can be very different products. The fruit size decides the weight of the box and most of the price. We list Alphonso in five sizes, from 150 to 180 g per fruit up to 275 to 300 g per fruit. The table shows how the dozen price moves with size for Ratnagiri Alphonso; Devgad is listed the same way.
| Fruit size (each) | 1 dozen | 2 dozen |
|---|---|---|
| 150 to 180 g | Rs 1,849 | Rs 3,499 |
| 180 to 225 g | Rs 2,099 | Rs 3,999 |
| 225 to 250 g | Rs 2,499 | Rs 4,699 |
| 250 to 275 g | Rs 2,699 | Rs 4,999 |
| 275 to 300 g | Rs 2,999 | Rs 5,399 |
Prices can change; check the product page for the current price. For larger quantities the order-online page lists boxes up to five dozen. We also supply restaurants and hotels; write to us with quantities and dates. We do not quote a per-kg rate, because a per-kg figure hides the fruit size. Our Ratnagiri Hapus price guide explains what moves the price within a season.
Step 3: how to check a mango seller online
You cannot smell a mango through a screen, so you check the seller instead. Four things are worth a minute each.
- FSSAI licence. Every food seller in India needs one. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller.
- Ripening method. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. Ask any seller the same question.
- Origin. For Alphonso, the district should be named: Ratnagiri or Devgad. For Kesar, Gujarat. A GI user certificate number for Alphonso shows the seller is registered with the GI Registry; ours is on our Brand Facts page.
- A contact that answers. Ours is support@alphonsomango.in and 8369048029.
No home test proves how a mango was ripened; the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to identifying authentic Hapus goes further on what to look for once the box is open.
Steps 4 and 5: PIN code, timing and payment

Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city; the PIN code and the courier route decide it. Fresh Alphonso is harvested from about February to June, with the best supply from March to May, and the 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, so the product pages show it as unavailable in the other months.
Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, and all our Alphonso is harvested at Brahma Muhurta, the pre-dawn hours. A box can therefore arrive with some firm fruit. That is normal, and it is better than fruit that has been forced ripe before travel. Give an address where someone will be at home, pay through the checkout, and keep the order number. For how a box is packed and travels, see our mango delivery guide.
Step 6: when the mangoes arrive
- Open the box on the day it arrives. Problems are easiest to see then.
- Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029.
- Lay the fruit in a single layer at room temperature, out of direct sun. Check daily.
- A sweet smell at the stalk and a slight give at the shoulder mean ripe. Do not chill firm fruit; cold stops ripening.
- Once ripe, eat within a day or two, or refrigerate briefly.
Our ripening guide has the full method. If you are in Mumbai, our Mumbai delivery guide covers the local side.
