Online mangoes delivery in Gandhinagar
Gandhinagar is a planned city of sectors, wide roads and government offices, and most addresses are easy for a courier to find. That helps when the parcel is fruit. We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We send mangoes to Gandhinagar by courier, packed by the dozen in ventilated corrugated boxes.

Gujarat has its own famous mango, Gir Kesar, and many Gandhinagar families buy it from Talala and Junagadh growers every summer. Alphonso from the Konkan coast is the other fruit people here order online, often to compare the two or to gift to relatives in Ahmedabad and beyond. This page explains both, how delivery works, and how to order. Both are on our mango collection.
Kesar or Alphonso: which to order
Gir Kesar is said to have been grown in 1931 by the Junagadh Wazir Sale Bhai, and to have been known as Kesar since 1934, when the Nawab of Junagadh remarked on its orange pulp. It is a lighter, saffron-orange fruit. Alphonso is smaller, deeper orange and strongly fragrant, with rich, creamy, non-fibrous pulp.

A practical way to choose: if the mangoes are for a Gujarati kitchen that makes aamras and shrikhand every week of the season, Kesar is the familiar choice and the lower price lets you order more often. If the box is a gift, or the family wants to taste what the Konkan fruit is like, Alphonso is the one to try. Many Gandhinagar customers order a box of each in the same week and decide for themselves. Whichever you pick, ask any seller the same questions: which place the fruit came from, how it was ripened, and what the FSSAI licence number is.
How delivery to Gandhinagar works
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. Gujarat PIN codes are covered by the same check. Enter your Gandhinagar PIN code, read the delivery message the checkout shows and only then pay. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city.

- Give the sector and plot clearly. Gandhinagar addresses are logical, but a missing sector number still slows the courier.
- Office addresses: if the parcel goes to a Sachivalaya or GIFT City office, make sure reception knows a box of fruit is coming and who will collect it.
- Use a mobile number that is switched on. The courier may call before arrival.
- Open the box on the day it arrives. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in or calling 8369048029.
Our delivery period guide and shipping charges guide cover the general rules.
How the fruit is ripened, and ripening at home
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Mature fruit is laid on hay and ripens by itself. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and our details are on the Brand Facts page.

The box arrives with the fruit firm, not ripe, so it can take the journey from Mumbai. Gandhinagar summers are dry and hot, so fruit softens quickly once it is indoors. Keep mangoes at room temperature, away from direct sun and the kitchen stove, and check them every day rather than counting days. Do not refrigerate unripe fruit. Once a mango is soft and fragrant near the stalk, eat it soon or chill it briefly. Cut fruit keeps best in a closed container in the fridge.
No single look or smell proves how a mango was ripened, and a bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to ripening Alphonso at home explains the steps.
What the GI tag means for Alphonso
Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139). For Alphonso, we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). This certificate covers Alphonso only, and we make no such claim for the Kesar we sell. Our Alphonso comes from across 55 villages of the belt and is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net. Ask any seller for the certificate number behind an Alphonso GI claim, and check that it names the seller. Our guide to the Alphonso mango GI tag explains the registry record.
Season, and what to do when fresh fruit is out
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh mangoes. Our Alphonso mango pulp tin is available all year, in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes from Rs 590, and suits aamras, shrikhand and milkshakes. See our amrakhand recipe.
On nutrition, 100 g of raw mango provides about 36 mg of vitamin C, roughly 40% of the Daily Value. Anyone managing a health condition should ask their doctor or dietitian how much suits them. Nearby, see Alphonso mango in Ahmedabad and Alphonso mango in Anand.
