Best Kesar Mango Price in Delhi: Find Deals Now - AlphonsoMango.in

Kesar mango price in Delhi depends on box size, grade and how the seller counts the fruit. Our Kesar boxes start from Rs 999 per box, and we do not quote a per-kg figure. Check the product page and your Delhi PIN code at checkout.

Kesar mango price in Delhi: what shapes the number

Ask five Delhi sellers the price of Kesar and you may hear five answers, and each can be honest. They are rarely quoting the same thing. One counts by weight, another by the dozen, a third by a crate. One has a larger grade, another a smaller grade. This page helps you read those quotes the same way before you decide.

Here is what usually decides the price of Kesar for a buyer in Delhi.

  • Box or pack size. A larger pack costs more in total. Check the number of fruits, not only the label.
  • Grade. Bigger, more even fruit costs more than mixed sizes.
  • Timing within the season. Early supply is thin, and prices tend to settle when more fruit arrives. This is a general market pattern, not a promise.
  • How it is sold. Per kg, per dozen or per box are not comparable until you know the count.
  • Who is selling. A wholesale crate rate, a colony-market stall and an online box carry different costs.

Our own Kesar boxes start from Rs 999 per box. Look at the Kesar mango product page for the price and availability of each option.

Delhi's mango markets and what their prices mean

Azadpur Mandi in north Delhi is the city's large wholesale fruit and vegetable market, and much of the mango that reaches Delhi homes passes through wholesale markets of that kind before it reaches a retail stall. A mandi rate is a trade rate for crates, so it is not the price a household pays, and a retail price includes the stallholder's costs.

That does not make a retail stall poor value. It means you should compare like with like. If a friend says she paid a certain rate in a colony market, ask whether that was per kg or per dozen, which grade, and in which week of the season.

Delhi buyers also have local favourites from Uttar Pradesh, such as Dasheri and Langra. Kesar is a Gujarat variety, so it competes with those on flavour more than on price. For the wider picture of mangoes in the city, read our guides to mango price in Delhi and the mango festival in Delhi.

Kesar, Alphonso or Pairi: choosing a variety in Delhi

Buy Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango GI Tagged Hapus Aam for Delhi delivery

Kesar is a Gujarat variety with a saffron-orange pulp and a strong aroma, and it is a popular choice for aamras. Alphonso, called Hapus, grows on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra and has a different flavour. Pairi, also called Payari, is a third variety we sell by the dozen. They are different fruits, so the price gap between them says little about quality.

Our listed prices by variety (from prices, check the product page)
Variety Price from Pack
Kesar Rs 999 Per box
Ratnagiri Alphonso Rs 1,849 Per dozen
Pairi Rs 2,799 1 dozen

Because the packs differ, compare the count and the grade rather than the headline price. Our Alphonso is hand-harvested, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with supply best from March to May, and the 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. If you want the Konkan variety in Delhi, read Alphonso mango in Delhi.

Five questions before you pay for Kesar in Delhi

  1. How many fruits, and which grade?
  2. Is the price per kg, per dozen or per box?
  3. Where is the fruit from? Kesar is a Gujarat variety.
  4. How was it ripened? Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.
  5. What if the box arrives damaged? We ask customers to report damage within 24 hours of delivery.

A bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof, so use the answers above instead. Our guide to identifying carbide-ripened mangoes online goes into more detail.

Using Kesar once it arrives

Kesar suits the dishes Delhi homes already make in summer. Blend ripe pieces into a mango lassi or a shake, set the pulp into kulfi, or serve chilled slices after a heavy meal. For aamras, press the ripe pulp through a sieve and add a little milk or a pinch of sugar only if the fruit needs it. Our aamras recipe gives the method step by step.

If part of the box ripens faster than you can eat it, peel and cube the extra fruit and freeze it in a closed container. Our note on keeping mango in the freezer explains how long it lasts.

Keeping Kesar in Delhi's heat

Delhi summers are hot, and heat ripens fruit quickly. When a box arrives, take the fruit out, spread it on a tray in a cool room and keep it away from a sunny balcony. Fruit that is still firm can wait at room temperature, and ripe fruit is better eaten within a few days or kept in the fridge. Do not wash the fruit until you are ready to eat it.
