Mango delivery in Thane from AlphonsoMango.in

This page is for Thane households. It explains how the order works for a Thane address, which mango to pick for which purpose, and how to receive and ripen the box. If you want the wider Mumbai picture, our guide to mango delivery in Mumbai covers the city itself.

Entering your Thane address

Thane has many large housing complexes, and the courier needs the exact tower, wing and landmark. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. We never promise a day for a named locality, because the answer depends on the PIN code and the courier route.

Thane localities and what to add to the address
Locality What helps the courier
Ghodbunder Road, Kasarvadavali, Hiranandani Estate Complex name, tower, wing and a working mobile number
Majiwada, Manpada, Kolshet A nearby landmark and the gate to use
Naupada, Vartak Nagar, Wagle Estate Building name and floor, with the society office hours
Kopri, Louiswadi, Pokhran Road Lane or road name and a second contact number

Tell the security desk to expect a courier carrying a mango box. If nobody is home during the day, choose an address where someone will be, such as a family member's flat or an office reception.

Devgad Alphonso or Kesar for a Thane household

Devgad Alphonso mango box for mango delivery in Thane

The two mangoes are different fruits. Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district on the Konkan coast, and its Alphonso is the Hapus that Maharashtrian homes wait for. Our Devgad Alphonso Mango page lists dozen options by fruit size, from Rs 1,849 per dozen. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade.

Kesar mango box for mango delivery in Thane

Kesar comes from Gujarat and has an orange pulp. Wikipedia says it is said to have been grown in 1931 by the Junagadh Wazir Sale Bhai, and to have been called Kesar since 1934, when the Nawab of Junagadh remarked on its orange pulp. Our Kesar Mango page sells a half dozen at Rs 999 and a dozen at Rs 1,699. Many homes pick Alphonso for eating and Kesar for juice or aamras, but that is a habit, not a rule.

Ripening in a Thane flat

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide gas is prohibited in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and our Brand Facts page lists the licence details.

Wikipedia puts the time from harvest to ripening of Alphonso at about 15 days, so a box can hold fruit at different stages. Fruit usually finishes at home. In a Thane flat during the humid months before the rains, keep the box in a shaded, ventilated corner and check it daily.

  • Take the fruit out of the box and lay it in a single layer.
  • Keep firm fruit at room temperature, away from the kitchen stove and direct sun.
  • Press gently near the stalk. A slight give and a sweet smell mean it is ready.
  • Move ripe fruit to the fridge to slow it down, and eat it within a few days.

Our guide to ripening Alphonso at home explains the stages in detail, and the ripening guide page has a quick reference.

Ordering for a society, a family or a gift

Thane complexes often have a WhatsApp group where neighbours compare mangoes. Each neighbour can place a separate order to their own flat, or one person can order for several and collect them at the gate. Write to us at support@alphonsomango.in with your quantity, address and dates if you plan a bigger order, and we will tell you plainly what is possible. We do not publish minimum quantities or discounts on this page.

We also supply restaurants and hotels, in general terms and without naming clients. For gifts to relatives or colleagues, see our gifting page. Open every box on arrival and report any damage within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in.

GI tag and what to ask any seller

Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139). We hold the GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The tag applies to Alphonso only. Our fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so it is lifted from the tree rather than shaken down, and we harvest at Brahma Muhurta, the pre-dawn hour.

Ask every seller three things: where the fruit grew, how it was ripened, and what to do if a box arrives damaged. A bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to how to identify real Alphonso mango has a longer checklist.

Season, price and the months in between

Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh listings show as unavailable until then, and fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season. Check the product page for today's price.

Between seasons, the Alphonso Mango Pulp tin is available all year in 850 g and 3.1 kg tins from Rs 590. It will not replace a fresh dozen, but it is handy for aamras, shakes and desserts. A simple aamras recipe shows how to serve it.
