Prices can change, so check the product page for the current price. Alphonso is the one most people mean when they search for mango fruit online in India: small, saffron-fleshed, non-fibrous and strongly scented. Kesar is juicy and a little tangy, and many families prefer it for shakes. Pairi is tart-sweet and is the traditional partner to Alphonso in Konkan aamras.
How fresh mango fruit is graded and priced online
Fruit sold online cannot be picked up and smelled, so the listing has to do that work. A good listing names the district, the grade, the count and the ripening method; a listing that gives only a price and a photo leaves you guessing. Alphonso fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g, and we grade each dozen by weight per fruit. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. The grade, not the headline price, is what you should compare between sellers.

- 150 to 180 g: the entry grade, from Rs 1,849 per dozen. Good for children and for aamras, where size does not matter.
- 180 to 250 g: the middle grades, the usual choice for a family that eats mangoes whole or cut.
- 250 to 300 g: the largest grades, fewer cuts per fruit and the usual pick for gifting. See our gifting page for boxes meant to be given.
Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). Kesar and Pairi do not carry this certificate from us. For a seasonal view of prices, read our Ratnagiri Hapus price guide.
Where the fruit comes from
Our Alphonso is sourced across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast. The Konkan is the stretch of India's western coast between the Arabian Sea and the Deccan Plateau, and Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg are among its districts. Harvest is done pre-dawn, at Brahma Muhurta, by hand with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so the fruit is cut and caught rather than dropped.

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so some fruit in a box arrives firm by design. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011, and we are an FSSAI-licensed seller. No home test proves how a mango was ripened; the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof.
What mango fruit gives you
Mango is eaten for taste first, but the nutrition is real. 100 g of raw mango provides about 36 mg of vitamin C, roughly 40% of the Daily Value. The orange colour of the flesh comes with carotenoids, which the body can convert to vitamin A. Alphonso pulp is rich, creamy and non-fibrous, which is why it blends into aamras and shakes without straining.
Mango also brings dietary fibre and natural sugars, which is why a ripe Alphonso feels filling for its size and why a single fruit is a reasonable dessert on its own. These are general figures for mango, not a claim about our fruit in particular, and mango is not a medicine. If you eat it for a health reason, ask your doctor. A dozen mangoes is a lot of fruit; for a small household, the half-dozen Kesar box or the 150 to 180 g Alphonso grade is the sensible start.
Season, delivery and what to do when the box arrives
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, and the pulp tin is available all year for aamras, milkshakes and kulfi. A fresh Alphonso offered in October or December deserves a question about where it was kept.
Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. Give an address where someone will be present. On arrival, lay the fruit in a single layer at room temperature and report any damage within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029. Do not refrigerate firm fruit, because cold stops ripening. Our ripening guide and the types of mangoes guide answer the next questions, and the full range is on the mango collection.

Which is the best mango fruit in India?
There is no single answer. Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is the most sought-after and carries an Indian geographical indication, GI No. 139. Kesar from Gujarat is juicy and slightly tangy, and Pairi is the Konkan aamras mango. Pick Alphonso for aroma and gifting, Kesar for value, Pairi for aamras.
In which month is mango fruit in season in India?
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Other Indian varieties ripen later into the monsoon, but we do not sell fresh Alphonso outside its season. Alphonso pulp tins are available all year.
How much does a mango fruit weigh?
Alphonso fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g. We grade each dozen by weight per fruit, from 150 to 180 g up to 275 to 300 g, so a dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Kesar is sold by the box with the piece count and weight shown on the product page.
How do I preserve mango fruit without a fridge?
Keep firm mangoes in a single layer at room temperature, away from direct sun, and eat them as they ripen over several days. Once a mango is fully ripe it keeps only a day or two unrefrigerated, so pulp any extra fruit and freeze it, or buy the pulp tin for off-season use.
