Online Mango Delivery: Fresh to Your Door - AlphonsoMango.in

Online mango delivery works best when you know what to check before you pay. Look at the origin, the ripening method, the fruit count and the delivery line for your PIN code. AlphonsoMango.in sells Alphonso from Rs 1,849 per dozen and sends by Blue Dart.

Online mango delivery: what it means and who it suits

Online mango delivery: fresh mangoes from AlphonsoMango.in

Online mango delivery means you pick the fruit on a website, pay online and receive the box at your address by courier. It suits city buyers who cannot visit an orchard, families who want a specific variety, and people sending a box to someone in another city. It does not suit anyone who wants to squeeze each fruit before buying, and it asks for patience, because natural ripening takes days.

We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We started selling offline in 2019 and online in 2020, and we have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller. This guide is written for a first-time buyer and applies to any seller, including us.

Six checks before you order mangoes online

What to check on any online mango page
Check What a good answer looks like
1. Origin A named place, such as the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast, and not just "Indian mango".
2. Variety Alphonso, Kesar or another variety named on the product page, with the unit stated.
3. Ripening A plain statement of how the fruit is ripened. Carbide is prohibited in India.
4. Count and size A dozen is twelve fruits; the weight depends on the size grade.
5. Delivery A courier named, and a PIN code check before you pay.
6. Seller identity A named business, an address and a contact number.

These checks do not prove anything on their own, and no home test proves how a mango was ripened. They do make it easy to compare sellers on the same terms. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide gas is prohibited under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.

How online mango delivery works with us

  1. Pick a product. Choose Ratnagiri Alphonso, Devgad Alphonso, Kesar or Pairi.
  2. Choose the size and the dozens. Prices rise with the size grade.
  3. Enter your PIN code at checkout. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout.
  4. Receive and check. If anything is damaged, report it to us within 24 hours of delivery.
  5. Ripen at home. Keep firm fruit at room temperature until it smells sweet and gives slightly near the stalk.

What you pay: reading a mango price online

Mango prices online are easy to misread, because sellers use different units. Some quote per kilogram, some per dozen, some per box. We sell by the dozen. Alphonso starts from Rs 1,849 per dozen and goes up to Rs 5,399 for the largest Ratnagiri option. Kesar is Rs 999 for a half dozen and Rs 1,699 for a dozen. Pairi starts from Rs 2,799 per dozen. Check each product page for the current price.

A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade, and an Alphonso fruit generally weighs 150 to 300 g. We do not quote a price per kilogram, and we suggest you compare sellers by the count of fruits, the size grade and the delivery line. Shipping is shown at checkout; our shipping charges guide explains how.

Which mango to order

  • Alphonso (Hapus). The Konkan mango from Ratnagiri and Devgad. Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139), and we hold the GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139).
  • Kesar. A Gujarat variety with orange pulp. It is a separate fruit, and the GI credential above does not apply to it.
  • Pairi. Another variety on our store, sold by the dozen.
  • Alphonso pulp. Sold in 850 g and 3.1 kg tins from Rs 590, available all year on the Alphonso Mango Pulp page.

Ratnagiri is a district and Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Both grow Alphonso. We do not rank one above the other. The Ratnagiri and Devgad comparison guide explains the two places.

Sending mangoes to someone else

Online delivery lets you send a box to a relative in another city. Enter the recipient's address and PIN code at checkout, and give a phone number that works. For several recipients, write to us with the quantity, the cities and the dates and we will say what is possible. We also supply restaurants and hotels, and you can write to us for that. Our gift form and the corporate gifting guide cover the questions to ask any supplier.

Sending mangoes abroad is a different matter. We ship directly to the UAE. For other countries, shipments have been arranged through the customer's contact abroad and are not a standard service, so write to us first.

Eating the fruit: ripening and health notes

Alphonso takes about 15 days from harvest to ripening, so a box can arrive firm. Our fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, at Brahma Muhurta, the pre-dawn hour. Eat ripe fruit within a few days, and keep cut fruit covered in the fridge.

Mangoes are a source of vitamin C: 100 g of raw mango provides about 36 mg, roughly 40% of the Daily Value. If you have a medical condition such as diabetes, ask your doctor or dietitian how much mango suits you. Our guide to mango health benefits has more general information.

Season dates for online orders

Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season fresh Alphonso is not sold by us, and the fresh listings stay closed until the new crop. Alphonso pulp tins are available all year. The Mangoes collection lists everything on offer.
