To buy mangoes online in Hyderabad, order Ratnagiri or Devgad Alphonso, Kesar or Pairi from us. We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. The 2027 season opens 1 February 2027.

Mangoes in Hyderabad: local varieties and Konkan Alphonso

Hyderabad already has a strong mango tradition. Banganapalli, Himayat and Totapuri from Andhra Pradesh and Telangana fill the markets every summer, and many families have a favourite among them. Alphonso is a different fruit. It is the Konkan variety, grown on the western coast of Maharashtra, and it reaches Hyderabad only by road, rail or courier from there.

That is the reason people in Hyderabad search for it online. A buyer who wants Hapus, as Marathi speakers call Alphonso, usually wants to know where it came from. We source Alphonso across 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt and ship from Mumbai, where Powle Home Foods runs AlphonsoMango.in.

Which mango to order in Hyderabad

Mangoes you can order for Hyderabad delivery
Variety Price from Good for
Ratnagiri Alphonso Rs 1,849 per dozen Gifting and eating fresh
Devgad Alphonso Rs 1,849 per dozen Gifting and eating fresh
Kesar Rs 999 per box Daily eating, aamras and desserts
Pairi Rs 2,799 for 1 dozen Eating fresh and aamras
Alphonso pulp tin Rs 590 for 850 g Aamras and desserts all year

These are "from" prices and can change, so check the product page when you order. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. The largest Ratnagiri option goes up to Rs 5,399. Ratnagiri and Devgad are the same Alphonso variety, and we do not rank one above the other.

Kesar is a Gujarat variety, and our Alphonso certificate does not cover it. It suits families who eat mango every day or make aamras in bulk. Pairi is an early-season variety with a sweet and tangy taste.

Delivery to Hyderabad

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout, because we do not promise next-day delivery for a named city, and service can differ from one PIN code to the next. Enter the full address with a landmark, since couriers in a large city rely on it.

Apartment and gated-community deliveries go smoothly when the security desk knows a parcel is coming. Share your phone number at checkout and keep it reachable on the day. If a box arrives damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery.

How the fruit is ripened

Ask this of any seller, in any city. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.

Because our Alphonso ripens naturally on hay beds, fruit in one box can be at slightly different stages. Keep a firm mango at room temperature and eat the softest ones first. No home test proves how a mango was ripened, and a bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to identifying carbide-ripened mangoes online lists what buyers look for.

What the GI details mean for you

Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139). We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). That is a certificate you can ask any Alphonso seller about. It does not apply to Kesar or any other variety, and Banganapalli and other local mangoes have their own names and rules. The details for our certificate are on the Brand Facts page.

We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and our licence number is 10020022011783.

Buying locally and buying online: what changes

Many Hyderabad families shop for mangoes at a market, a fruit cart or a neighbourhood shop, and that is a good way to compare local varieties by sight and smell. Ordering online helps when you want a specific variety and origin that your area does not stock, or when you need to send fruit to someone else.

  • Online: you choose the variety, the grade and the dozen size on a product page, and the box is delivered to the address you enter.
  • Local: you can touch and smell the fruit and buy a small quantity, but you rely on the seller's word for origin and ripening.

Use the same questions in both cases: variety, region, ripening method and licence. If a seller cannot answer plainly, move on. Our dos and don'ts of buying Alphonso online lists more.

Using pulp when the season is over

Alphonso pulp tins are useful in Hyderabad in the months when fresh Alphonso is not sold. Alphonso pulp is described as rich, creamy and non-fibrous, so it blends smoothly into aamras, shakes and puddings. Mango pulp is sterilised and packed in aseptic bags or sealed cans, which is how our tins are sold. Try our aamras recipe with a tin, and serve it with puri.

When to order for Hyderabad

Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. Our 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Pairi and Kesar follow their own schedules, so check each product page for availability. Outside the season fresh Alphonso is not sold, but Alphonso pulp tins in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes, from Rs 590, are available all year.

  • Early season: good for a first taste and for gifts in the family.
  • March to May: the broadest choice of grade and size.
  • Festival gifts: Ugadi and Akshaya Tritiya are popular times to send mangoes to family. Order early in the season so the box is not stuck in a rush.

Sending mangoes to Hyderabad as a gift

A mango box is a common gift for relatives in another city. Enter the recipient's Hyderabad address and PIN code at checkout, and tell them to expect it. For a company, an apartment community or several households, write to us with the quantity, the areas and the dates, and we will tell you what is possible. Our gifting page has more detail.
