Mango online from AlphonsoMango.in means Ratnagiri or Devgad Alphonso, picked in the Konkan and sent by Blue Dart from Rs 1,849 per dozen. This guide walks through each ordering step, from size to arrival. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027.
Buying mango online or at the market
A fruit market lets you smell and press the mango before you pay. Buying online trades that for a clear origin, a named grade and a box that arrives at your door. Neither route is automatically better, and people who buy online are usually after one of three things: fruit from a specific place, a fixed count and weight, or a gift sent to someone in another city.

We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We started selling offline in 2019 and online in 2020, and we have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. This page explains how our online ordering works, step by step, so you know what to expect before you add anything to the cart.
What you can order

Our fresh range is Alphonso, known as Hapus or Aapus in Maharashtra. Wikipedia says the variety is named after Afonso de Albuquerque and puts a fruit at about 150 to 300 g. We list it from two places on the Konkan coast, and each has its own product page.
- Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango: ordered by the dozen, from Rs 1,849, with size grades from 150 g a fruit.
- Devgad Alphonso Mango: ordered by the dozen, from Rs 1,849.
- Kesar Mango: a separate variety, half dozen Rs 999 and dozen Rs 1,699.
- Pairi Mango: a separate variety, from Rs 2,799 per dozen.
Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139), and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139), listed on our Brand Facts page. The GI claim is for Alphonso only. Kesar and Pairi carry no GI claim from us.
Choosing a size and a quantity
Alphonso is graded by the weight of a single fruit, and a bigger grade costs more per dozen. For Ratnagiri, the listed prices for one dozen run from Rs 1,849 for the 150 g grade to Rs 2,999 for the 275 g grade, with two-dozen boxes listed from Rs 3,499 up to Rs 5,399. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on the grade you pick.
| Fruit weight | Listed price, one dozen |
|---|---|
| 150 g | Rs 1,849 |
| 180 g | Rs 2,099 |
| 225 g | Rs 2,499 |
| 250 g | Rs 2,699 |
| 275 g | Rs 2,999 |
Prices are the listed ones and can change, so check the product page for the price on the day you order. Our Hapus aam price guide explains the grades in more detail.
Ratnagiri or Devgad
Ratnagiri is a district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. We source across 48 villages of the belt, and the fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, at Brahma Muhurta, the pre-dawn hour, for all our Alphonso.

We do not rank Ratnagiri above Devgad, and we do not claim that one ripens earlier or tastes sweeter. Both are the same variety from the same coast. If you cannot decide, the quickest way is to order one dozen of each and compare them at your own table. Our Ratnagiri and Devgad guide describes the two places without ranking them.
Delivery and what to do when the box arrives
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city, so enter your PIN code at checkout and read what the page shows before you pay.
When the box arrives, open it, lift the fruit out gently and lay it in a single layer with air around it. Damage should be reported to us within 24 hours of delivery. Wikipedia notes that Alphonso takes about 15 days from harvest to ripening, so a box can hold fruit at different stages, and our guide on ripening mangoes at home covers the daily check in detail.
For orders going outside India, please write to us first. We ship to the UAE directly. For other countries, the order is arranged through your contact abroad, and we will tell you what is possible once we know the address and the quantity.
Checking a seller before you pay

- Ask for the origin. A seller should name the district or taluka, not only the state.
- Ask for the count and the grade. A dozen is twelve fruits, and the weight depends on size.
- Ask how it was ripened. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide gas is prohibited in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.
- Ask what happens if the box is damaged. Ask before you pay, and keep the answer in writing.
A bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof, and no home test shows how a mango was ripened. Our guide to identifying carbide-ripened mangoes lists more questions to ask.
Season dates and gifting
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, but our Alphonso Mango Pulp tin comes in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes from Rs 590 and is available all year.
If you are sending mangoes as a gift, write to us with the quantity, the delivery address and the dates, and read our corporate gifting guide first. For city-specific notes, see Alphonso mango delivery and Hapus aam.
