Ratnagiri Mango online Delivery - AlphonsoMango.in

Ratnagiri mango online delivery from AlphonsoMango.in means Alphonso (Hapus) grown in the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, sold by the dozen from Rs 1,849, ripened naturally on hay and sent by Blue Dart across India. Fresh fruit is sold in season, opening 1 February 2027.

What a Ratnagiri mango is

Ratnagiri mango is the everyday name for Alphonso grown in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. In Marathi it is Hapus. The same variety grown in Devgad taluka of neighbouring Sindhudurg district is sold as Devgad Alphonso. Both fall under the same Geographical Indication, GI No. 139, and we do not rank one above the other.

Buy authentic GI-tagged Ratnagiri Alphonso mango (Hapus Aam) online — Powle Home Foods

We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. Our fruit is sourced across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The certificate number is on our Brand Facts page.

The fruit itself: Alphonso fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g, and the pulp is described as rich, creamy and non-fibrous. The variety is named after Afonso de Albuquerque; mango grafting was introduced in Portuguese Goa by Jesuit missionaries, and because Indian-group mangoes are monoembryonic, Alphonso is propagated by grafting, not from seed. Alphonso can develop spongy tissue, an internal flesh disorder; ICAR-IIHR research traced it to the seed shifting into germination mode at about 60% fruit maturity, which is one reason harvest timing matters.

Ratnagiri mango price per dozen

We price by the dozen and by fruit size, not by weight. The grades below are the sizes listed on the Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango page. Prices change with grade and availability, so check the product page for today's price.

Ratnagiri Alphonso: listed grades and prices
Fruit size (each) 1 dozen 2 dozen
150 to 180 g Rs 1,849 Rs 3,499
180 to 225 g Rs 2,099 Rs 3,999
225 to 250 g Rs 2,499 Rs 4,699
250 to 275 g Rs 2,699 Rs 4,999
275 to 300 g Rs 2,999 Rs 5,399

A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Smaller fruit suits daily eating and aamras; larger fruit suits gifting. We do not quote a per-kg rate, because a dozen of one grade is not comparable to a kilo of mixed fruit from a market. Shipping is shown at checkout. For larger quantities, the Alphonso mango order-online page lists up to five dozen, and corporate gifting is handled separately.

Why the price is what it is: a short season, hand harvesting with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, grading by size, and courier transport of a fruit that bruises easily. Our rate page and aam ki peti price guide go into this.

Ratnagiri or Devgad: choosing a listing

Original Devgad Alphonso mango export quality Hapus — order online from Powle Home Foods

Ratnagiri is a district; Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Both grow Alphonso under the same GI. Buyers can choose by the name they know or by which listing has the size they want. The Devgad Alphonso Mango page has the same grade structure, from Rs 1,849 per dozen. Harvest is done pre-dawn for all our Alphonso, and we do not claim that one place ripens earlier, tastes sweeter or keeps longer than the other.

What matters more than the name is how the fruit was handled after harvest. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011; ethylene up to 100 ppm is the permitted alternative. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller. Our Ratnagiri and Devgad Hapus guide and Why Ratnagiri Alphonso cover the two names in more depth.

How Ratnagiri mango online delivery works

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city. Enter your PIN code before you pay and read the message the checkout shows.

  1. Open the product page, choose the grade and the dozen option, and add it to the cart.
  2. Enter your address and PIN code. Shipping is shown before payment; our shipping charges guide explains it.
  3. Keep a phone reachable on the delivery day; a perishable box needs someone to receive it.
  4. Open the box on the day it arrives. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029.

Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so a box can arrive with some fruit firm. Keep the mangoes at room temperature in a single layer, away from sun, and check daily; a sweet smell at the stalk and a slight give at the shoulder mean ripe. Do not refrigerate firm fruit. Our guide on ripening Alphonso at home has the full method, and delivery period for mangoes covers timings. We ship directly to the UAE; for other countries, write to us first.

Season, Ratnagiri mango market and pulp

Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso; the Alphonso mango pulp tin (850 g and 3.1 kg, from Rs 590) is available all year.

A search for the Ratnagiri mango market may mean the wholesale trade in the district and in city APMC markets, where fruit is sold in bulk by the peti. We are not a wholesale market and do not report mandi rates. What we offer is the graded dozen described above, with a known origin and a GI Authorised User number you can check.

How to tell the fruit: a ripe Alphonso smells sweet at the stalk and gives slightly at the shoulder, and the pulp is saffron and non-fibrous. No home test proves authenticity or how a mango was ripened; the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof. Ask any seller where exactly the fruit is from and how it was ripened. Our guides on how to identify an Alphonso mango and the Alphonso mango GI tag go further.
