What you get when you order Ratnagiri mango online
Ratnagiri mango means Alphonso, called Hapus in Marathi, grown in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. It is the variety people usually mean when they search for Ratnagiri mango online. The pulp is described as rich, creamy and non-fibrous, and the fruit generally weighs 150 to 300 g.

We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. Our first sales were offline in 2019, and we have sold online since 2020. We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. The fruit comes from 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, and it is cut by hand before dawn at Brahma Muhurta with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so the tree is not shaken and the fruit does not fall.
Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139. We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The number is printed on our Brand Facts page along with our FSSAI licence, so you can check both before you order.
Ratnagiri or Devgad: pick one or try both
Our mango collection lists two Alphonso products. Ratnagiri Alphonso comes from Ratnagiri district. Devgad Alphonso comes from Devgad taluka in Sindhudurg district, the next district south. Both are the same variety, both are harvested the same way, and both start from Rs 1,849 per dozen. We do not rank one above the other.

Both products are listed by grade, and the grade names are the same on each page, so you can compare like with like. If you have a family preference, order the one you know. If you do not, order a dozen of each in the same season and decide at the table. Our guide to Ratnagiri and Devgad Hapus explains the geography in more detail.

Price and grades of Ratnagiri mango online
Alphonso is sold by the dozen, and the price depends on the grade, which is the weight range of each fruit. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Ratnagiri Alphonso starts from Rs 1,849 per dozen and goes up to Rs 5,399 for the largest option. Check the product page for today's price, because it moves with grade and supply through the season.
- Smaller grades suit aamras, milkshakes and cooking, where the size of the fruit does not matter.
- Larger grades suit slicing, gifting and the table, where a big uniform fruit looks and eats better.
- Two dozen or more is the usual choice for a family that eats mango daily through the season.
The grade you choose on the product page is the grade that arrives. Fruit may arrive firm, which is normal for Alphonso sent by courier; it finishes ripening at home over a few days.
We do not quote a per-kilo price for Alphonso, because the fruit is graded and sold by count. If you see a per-kilo quote elsewhere, ask what grade it covers. Our Ratnagiri Hapus price guide explains the grade and price logic in full.
How the fruit is ripened before you order Ratnagiri mango online
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Mature fruit is laid on hay beds and ripens over several days. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. Ethylene up to 100 ppm is the permitted alternative.
Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so fruit may arrive firm. Keep it at room temperature, away from direct sun, and check it daily. A sweet smell near the stalk and a slight give near the shoulder are the usual signs. No home test proves how a mango was ripened; a bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof. Our guide on ripening Alphonso at home gives the steps.

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city, because it depends on the PIN code and the courier route. The checkout shows the delivery message for your address before you pay.

Give the full address with landmark, flat number and a phone number that is switched on, because the courier may call before delivery. If you are ordering for someone else, put their name and number on the order, not yours.
Open the box on the day it arrives and look at each fruit. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in or calling 8369048029. For the cost side, see our shipping charges guide, and for timing, our delivery period guide.
Season: when Ratnagiri mango is online
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, and the best supply runs from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, because the trees give one crop a year. A site offering fresh Ratnagiri mango online in October should be asked where the fruit came from.
Alphonso pulp tins are available all year, in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes from Rs 590, so you can make aamras or a milkshake out of season. See the Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin. Our mango season guide explains the months, and the mango collection lists everything we sell in season, including Kesar and Pairi.
