quinoa Upma Recipe Indian Style

Ingredients:

1 cup quinoa

One onion, chopped

One green chili, sliced

One tomato, chopped

1/2 cup peas

One carrot, chopped

One tablespoon oil

One teaspoon of mustard seeds

One teaspoon urad dal

Ten curry leaves

Salt to taste

Water as needed

Instructions:

1. In a pan, heat oil and add mustard seeds. When they splutter, add urad dal and fry until golden brown.

2. Add curry leaves, onion, green chili, and carrot. Fry for 5 minutes.

3. Add tomato and fry for 2 minutes.

4. Add quinoa and salt. Mix well and cook for 2 minutes.

5. Add water and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and cook until quinoa is done.
