Alphonso mango order online: the four steps
Ordering Alphonso online is a short job once you know what the choices mean. This page walks through the order from product page to delivery, written by us at Powle Home Foods, Mumbai, who run AlphonsoMango.in. Our first sales were offline in 2019, and we have sold online since 2020. We have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales.
- Choose the origin. Ratnagiri Alphonso or Devgad Alphonso. Both are the same variety from the Konkan coast.
- Choose the grade and quantity. Grades are weight ranges per fruit. Pick the dozen count you need.
- Add to cart and check out. Enter your address and PIN code. The delivery message appears before you pay.
- Receive and unpack. Open the box on the day it arrives and let firm fruit ripen at room temperature.

If you prefer a single listing without choosing an origin, the one-dozen Alphonso listing is the simplest page to order from. The full range is on the mango collection.
Ratnagiri or Devgad: what the choice means
Ratnagiri is a district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district, the next district south. We source Alphonso across 48 villages of this belt. Both areas grow the same variety, harvested the same way, and we do not rank one above the other or claim one is sweeter.

Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The certificate number is on our Brand Facts page. If a seller anywhere claims GI Alphonso, ask for the Authorised User number; that is the paperwork that backs the claim. Our guide to the Alphonso mango GI tag says what the tag covers and what it does not.
Harvesting is done before dawn at Brahma Muhurta. Fruit is cut by hand with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so the tree is not shaken and the fruit does not drop. Alphonso fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g, and the pulp is described as rich, creamy and non-fibrous.
Grades, dozen counts and price
Alphonso is sold by the dozen, and the price depends on the grade. Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso start from Rs 1,849 per dozen. The largest Ratnagiri option is Rs 5,399, and the one-dozen listing also offers two-dozen and five-dozen packs. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Check the product page for today's price.
| Use | Grade to pick | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Aamras, milkshake, kulfi | Smaller grade | Size does not matter once the pulp is out. |
| Slicing and the table | Medium or larger grade | Uniform fruit, easier to cut. |
| Gifting | Largest grade | The box looks the part. |
| Daily eating, family of four | Two dozen, any grade | About a fruit each per day for a week. |
If you are unsure, start with one dozen of a medium grade and adjust the next order once you know how fast your household eats them.
We do not quote a per-kilo rate, because the fruit is graded and sold by count. Our Alphonso price guide explains why the dozen price moves through the season.
Ripening: what to expect when the box opens
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Mature fruit is laid on hay beds and ripens over several days. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. Ethylene up to 100 ppm is the permitted alternative.

Harvest to ripening takes about 15 days for Alphonso, so some fruit in the box will be firm on arrival. That is normal. Keep it at room temperature, away from direct sun, and check daily. A sweet smell near the stalk and a slight give near the shoulder mean it is ready. Chill ripe fruit if you cannot eat it that day. No home test, including the bucket-of-water test, proves how a mango was ripened; treat it as a rough clue, not proof. Our ripening guide has the full steps.
Delivery after your Alphonso mango order online
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city, because it depends on the PIN code and the courier route. Give the full address with a landmark and a phone number that is switched on, because the courier may call.

Open the box on the day it arrives and look at each fruit. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in or calling 8369048029. For the cost side, see our shipping charges guide. For timing, see the delivery period guide.
Fresh mango does not wait, so avoid ordering to an address where nobody will be home for several days. A neighbour or the society office can receive the box if you write to us with the order number after ordering.
For gifts, put the recipient's name and number on the order. For offices and bulk orders, write to us with your quantity, cities and dates, and see our corporate gifting guide.
Season and what to order out of season
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, and the best supply runs from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season fresh Alphonso is not sold, because the trees give one crop a year. If you want fresh Alphonso, order within the season window.
Out of season, the Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin is available all year, in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes from Rs 590. In season we also list Kesar mango from Gujarat at Rs 999 for a half dozen and Pairi mango from Rs 2,799 per dozen. Our mango season guide gives the month-by-month picture.
