Buy Alphonso mango in Ajmer
We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. An Ajmer order is placed on the website like any other Indian address. There is no shop or agent in Ajmer, and you do not need one.

Our main fruit is Alphonso, called Hapus in Maharashtra and sometimes Alfonso Aam in common use. We source it across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast. Fresh Alphonso is sold by the dozen from Rs 1,849, rising with the size of the fruit. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Browse all listings on the mango collection, or go straight to the Ratnagiri Alphonso and Devgad Alphonso pages.
Why order from outside Rajasthan at all? Because Alphonso is a coastal fruit. It is grown on the Konkan coast, a long way from Ajmer, so buying it is mostly a question of who you trust. Ordering by the dozen, by a named grade, lets you decide size and quantity yourself, and lets you ask us how the fruit was ripened before you pay.
If you prefer a different mango, we also list Kesar mango (half-dozen Rs 999, dozen Rs 1,699) and Pairi mango from Rs 2,799 per dozen. Prices change, so check the product page for today's price.
Ratnagiri or Devgad for an Ajmer order
Ratnagiri is a district on the Konkan coast; Devgad is a taluka in neighbouring Sindhudurg district. Both grow the same variety, Alphonso, under the same GI. We do not rank one above the other, and we do not claim that one ripens earlier or tastes sweeter. Buyers usually choose by the name they grew up hearing or by which listing has the size they want.

Delivery to Ajmer
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for Ajmer or any other named city, because it depends on the PIN code and the courier route. Enter your Ajmer PIN code before you pay and read the message the checkout shows; that message is the only timing we stand behind.
- Be present. A perishable box needs someone to receive it, so give an address where a person will be on a working day.
- Charges. Shipping is shown at checkout; our shipping charges guide explains how it is worked out.
- Damage. Open the box on the day it arrives. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029.
- Neighbouring cities. If you are choosing between Rajasthan cities, our pages for Jaipur and Alphonso in Jaipur cover the same questions.
Our delivery period for mangoes page explains timings in more detail.
Ripening a box in Ajmer's summer heat
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011; ethylene up to 100 ppm is the permitted alternative. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller. Our fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so it is not dropped or shaken from the tree.

Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so a box can arrive with some fruit still firm. That is normal. Rajasthan summers are hot, and heat ripens fruit fast, so handle the box with that in mind.
- Take the mangoes out of the box and lay them in a single layer in the coolest room you have, away from direct sun.
- Check them every morning. A sweet smell near the stalk and a slight give at the shoulder mean ripe.
- Do not refrigerate firm fruit; cold stops ripening and dulls the aroma. Once soft, eat the mango that day or chill it briefly.
- If much of the box ripens together, make aamras and freeze it in small portions.
No home test, including the bucket-of-water test, proves how a mango was ripened; it is a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to ripening Alphonso at home has the full method.
GI tag, season and pulp

A Geographical Indication ties a product name to the place it comes from. Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). The details are on our Brand Facts page. A GI says where the fruit is from; it does not tell you how it was ripened, so ask any seller that too.
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, but the Alphonso mango pulp tin (850 g and 3.1 kg, from Rs 590) is available all year. See our Alphonso season guide for the full calendar.
On nutrition, 100 g of raw mango provides about 36 mg of vitamin C, roughly 40% of the Daily Value, plus natural sugars. If you are managing a health condition, ask your doctor how much mango suits you. Our mango nutrition facts page lists the figures.
