Fruit home delivery near me usually means a local grocer or app; AlphonsoMango.in is different. We are an online seller of Alphonso mangoes, by the dozen from Rs 1,849, sent by Blue Dart to your PIN code in season, opening 1 February 2027.
What "near me" means for us, and what it does not
When you search for fruit home delivery near me, you are usually looking for something that arrives within hours from a shop down the road. We should be plain about this: we are not that. We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We have no shop, counter or collection point in your city, and nobody is nearby with a basket. What we offer is a courier order of one fruit, done carefully.

That fruit is Alphonso (Hapus), from across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast. Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). We have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales.
The nearest honest comparison is with ordering any specialty food by post: you plan ahead, you accept a courier timeline, and in return you get a named origin. That trade suits mangoes well, because the fruit is seasonal, the best-known source is a narrow strip of coast, and many buyers are far from it.
If you need fruit tonight, a local grocer or a quick-delivery app is the right answer, and we would rather say so than waste your time. If you want a box of Konkan Alphonso that you can order once and eat over a week, read on.
Local fruit delivery or a courier order: what differs
| Point | Local grocer or app | AlphonsoMango.in |
|---|---|---|
| Range | Mixed fruit, many sellers | Alphonso, Kesar, Pairi and a few other mangoes |
| Timing | Often within hours, depends on the seller | By Blue Dart; about 65% of PIN codes get next-day delivery |
| Origin | Usually not stated | Konkan, GI No. 139 for Alphonso |
| Pack | By the kilo | By the dozen, graded by fruit size |
| Season | Varies by fruit | Fresh Alphonso about February to June |
Neither is better for every purpose. Think about what you are really buying: a few minutes saved, or a known source. Quick delivery wins on speed, and for staples that is the sensible choice. A grocer is better for apples and bananas on a Tuesday. A courier order from a named source is better when the thing you care about is that the mango is a real Alphonso from the Konkan belt and not just a yellow mango. Our how to identify an Alphonso mango lists what to look for whoever you buy from.

What to ask any fruit seller before you order
Whether you use us or someone else, five questions separate a reliable seller from a vague one. They take two minutes, cost nothing, and apply to any fruit, not only mangoes. If a seller will not answer them in plain words, treat that as an answer.
- Where exactly is the fruit from? A district or village is an answer; "Konkan quality" is not.
- How was it ripened? Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011; ethylene up to 100 ppm is the permitted alternative.
- Is the seller FSSAI-licensed? We are, and the licence is easy to ask for.
- What is the pack? Count and size grade, not just "a box".
- What happens if it arrives damaged? Our rule is that damage should be reported within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029.
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller. No home test proves how a mango was ripened; the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof, so the seller's answer matters more than any trick.
What we deliver, with pack sizes and prices
Our two main listings are Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango and Devgad Alphonso Mango, both from Rs 1,849 per dozen. Ratnagiri is a district; Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Both grow the same variety under the same GI, and we do not rank one above the other. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. We price by the dozen and do not quote per-kg rates.

- Kesar mango: half-dozen Rs 999, dozen Rs 1,699. We make no GI claim for Kesar.
- Pairi mango: from Rs 2,799 per dozen.
- Alphonso pulp tin (850 g and 3.1 kg, from Rs 590): available all year, for aamras, shakes and kulfi.
- Other fruit: the store also lists golden kiwi, fresh blueberries, avocado and imported cherries. Check each product page for availability and the current price.

Delivery, season and gifting
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city. A perishable box needs someone to receive it, so give an address where a person will be present on a working day. Shipping is shown at checkout; see our shipping charges guide.
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso. Harvest to ripening takes about 15 days, so keep the fruit at room temperature in a single layer, check it daily, and do not refrigerate firm mangoes. See how to ripen Alphonso at home.

Sending fruit to someone else works the same way: enter their address and phone number at checkout. We do not sell ready-made fruit baskets or gift boxes; the gift is a box of mangoes. For occasions and bulk orders see our gifting page and corporate gifting guide. Related: home delivery in Mumbai and Alphonso mango near me.

People also ask
Do you deliver fruit near me?
We deliver by Blue Dart to addresses across India, not through a local shop or rider. Enter your PIN code at checkout to see what applies to you; about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. We sell mangoes, chiefly Alphonso, and some other fruit on separate product pages, so check availability on each page.
Which fruit can I order from AlphonsoMango.in?
Mainly mangoes: Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt, Kesar, Pairi, and several northern and southern varieties on their own pages, plus Alphonso pulp tins. The store also lists a few other fruits such as kiwi, blueberries and avocado. Availability and price change, so check the product page.
How do I check that a fruit seller is genuine?
Ask where the fruit is from, how it was ripened, and whether the seller holds an FSSAI licence. Carbide ripening is prohibited in India under FSSAI Regulation 2.3.5. For Alphonso, you can also ask for an Authorised User certificate under the GI; ours is AU/5974/GI/139/260. A vague answer is a reason to look elsewhere.
When is fresh Alphonso available for home delivery?
Fresh Alphonso is harvested about February to June, and the best supply runs from March to May. Our 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, but Alphonso pulp tins in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes are available all year.
