Alphonso mango near me: what the search really finds
When you type Alphonso mango near me, you usually see fruit stalls, supermarkets, mandi traders and a few online sellers. Fruit shops are useful for a quick look, but for Alphonso the questions that matter are where it grew, how it was ripened and who stands behind it. A nearby shop often cannot answer them.

We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We sell only online, so we are not near you in the shop sense. What we do is send the fruit to you. We have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales.
That makes the useful version of the search: who can deliver real Alphonso to my PIN code, with a clear source, a certificate number and a person to contact. The rest of this page helps you test any seller, including us.
A checklist for buying Alphonso, nearby or online
Use these questions at any stall or on any website. A good seller answers them without hesitation.
- Where is it from? True Alphonso comes from the Konkan coast, mainly the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt. Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139. Ask which district, not just a brand name.
- Can you show the GI paperwork? We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). Ask any seller for the equivalent.
- How was it ripened? Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. Ask directly.
- What are the sizes and the price per dozen? Check the grade, not only the headline price.
- Who do I call if something is wrong? Look for a named contact, not only a chat box.

No test proves how a mango was ripened; the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue only. Our guide to how to identify authentic Hapus mango lists what to look at and what to ask.
What we send to your door
Alphonso, called Hapus in Maharashtra, is a small saffron-fleshed mango, generally 150 to 300 g, with soft, non-fibrous pulp. We source across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net.
- Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango and Devgad Alphonso Mango: from Rs 1,849 per dozen. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade.
- Kesar mango: half-dozen Rs 999, dozen Rs 1,699.
- Alphonso mango pulp tin: 850 g and 3.1 kg tins from Rs 590, available all year.
Prices change with grade, so check the product page for the current price. The complete range is on the mango collection.
Delivery to your PIN code
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We cannot name a delivery day for your city, because it depends on the route. Read the message at checkout and treat it as the only promise. Shipping is shown there as well; see shipping charges guide.

Ripening takes about 15 days from harvest, so a box can arrive with some fruit firm. Keep it in one layer at room temperature, away from sun, and check each morning for a sweet smell at the stalk and slight give. Do not refrigerate firm fruit. Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029. For the full method, see how to ripen Alphonso mangoes at home.
Season: when you can get fresh Alphonso
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, and that is true of every honest seller. If a stall offers Alphonso in October, ask what it is. Outside the season, the Alphonso pulp tin is available all year.

Where nearby Alphonso comes from: a plain comparison
These are the usual sellers a near me search finds. None is automatically good or bad; what matters is what each can tell you.
| Seller type | What you can see | What to ask |
|---|---|---|
| Roadside fruit stall | The fruit, its smell and colour | Which district, and how it was ripened |
| Supermarket or fruit chain | Packed fruit with a label | Whether the label names Ratnagiri or Devgad |
| Mandi trader | Large lots, wholesale pricing | Grade, and whether a single dozen is possible |
| Marketplace seller | Photos and a score you cannot verify | Who the actual seller is, and where they are based |
| Direct online seller (us) | Source, GI certificate number, price by grade | Anything; write to support@alphonsomango.in |
We do not say other sellers are poor. We say that the answers to those questions, not the distance, tell you if a box is worth the money. Our Alphonso mango shop near me note covers the same ground from the shop side.
Reading the price when you compare
A low price per dozen can mean a smaller grade, a different variety, or fruit from outside the GI belt. A high one can simply be a larger grade. Compare like for like.
- Check the grade and number of fruit in the dozen; the same dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade.
- Check that the variety is named. Kesar, Pairi and Dasheri are different mangoes with their own pages and prices; they are not Alphonso.
- Add the shipping shown at checkout to the fruit price before comparing with a shop.
- Look at the season. Fresh Alphonso is a February to June fruit; an offer outside those months needs an explanation.
Our own Alphonso starts at Rs 1,849 per dozen and goes up with the grade. Check the product page for the current price.

How do I know if Alphonso mango near me is real?
Ask where it grew, whether it carries GI paperwork, and how it was ripened. Real Alphonso comes from the Konkan coast, mainly Ratnagiri and Devgad. No home test proves ripening method, so ask the seller directly. We are an authorised user under GI No. 139 (certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260) and ripen on hay beds.
Is online Alphonso mango better than a nearby shop?
