Buy Alphonso mango online in Jaisalmer
We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. Jaisalmer is a desert city on the western edge of Rajasthan, a long way from the Konkan coast where Alphonso grows. There are no Alphonso orchards near you, so the fruit has to travel, and the real questions are about the seller and the box. We have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, and have served 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales.

- Ratnagiri Alphonso Mango and Devgad Alphonso Mango: both from Rs 1,849 per dozen. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade.
- Kesar mango: half-dozen Rs 999, dozen Rs 1,699.
- Alphonso mango pulp tin (850 g and 3.1 kg, from Rs 590), available all year.
Order on the website with your Jaisalmer address and PIN code; there is no shop or agent in the city. Check the product page for the current price, since the price depends on grade and box size.
What you are buying
Alphonso, called Hapus in Maharashtra, has saffron-orange, non-fibrous flesh and a strong scent. Fruits generally weigh 150 to 300 g. We source across 55 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt. Alphonso from this belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139).

Ratnagiri is a district on the Konkan coast, and Devgad is a taluka in neighbouring Sindhudurg district. They are the same variety under the same GI. We do not rank one above the other, so choose whichever product page has the size grade you want. If a seller in any city cannot give you a GI Authorised User number for Alphonso, ask them for it. Our guide to the Alphonso GI tag explains what the number means.
Delivery to Jaisalmer: what to arrange
We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. Check your PIN code at checkout. We do not promise a delivery day for Jaisalmer, because it depends on the PIN code and the courier route. Read the message the checkout shows for your PIN code; that is the only timing we stand behind. Some points matter more for a desert city than for a metro:
- Give a working phone number and a landmark. If your address is in the old city or near the fort, lanes are narrow and a courier will call before arriving.
- Be there to receive it. A perishable box should not sit in the sun on a doorstep or in a vehicle. Name someone who will be home on a working day.
- For a hotel, haveli stay or guesthouse, have reception accept the box and move it to a cool room at once. We supply hotels and restaurants in general, and you can write to us before a bulk order.
- Check the PIN code first. Enter it at checkout before you pay.
Report any damage within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029. Our shipping charges guide explains how charges are worked out, and delivery period for mangoes has more on timing.
Ripening Alphonso in Jaisalmer heat
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and our fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net.

Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so a box may arrive with some fruit firm. In the dry heat of a Rajasthan summer, mangoes soften quickly once the box is open, so plan to eat the fruit rather than store it.
- Open the box on arrival and lay the mangoes in one layer in the coolest room, away from windows, sun and cooler vents.
- Do not leave them in a car, on a terrace or near an oven. Extreme heat spoils the fruit.
- Do not refrigerate firm fruit; cold stops ripening. A sweet smell at the stalk and a slight give at the shoulder mean ripe.
- Chill ripe fruit briefly before eating, and keep cut fruit in a closed container in the fridge for a day or two.

Season, and what to order when fresh fruit is not available
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, and Jaisalmer's October tourist months fall outside it. Hotels and guesthouses planning summer menus should order in the first half of the season, because supply thins towards the end and we stop when the fruit stops.
For other months, the Alphonso pulp tin is the all-year option. It suits aamras, milkshakes, kulfi and lassi; see the aamras recipe and the mango lassi recipe. Nearby Rajasthan guides: Jodhpur, Bikaner and Jaipur.
Gifts, weddings and hotel menus in Jaisalmer
Jaisalmer sees a steady flow of visitors, and the city hosts destination weddings and group events. A mango box is easy to send as a thank-you to a host, a family elder or a team travelling through. If you are ordering for an event, work backwards from the date: allow time for the courier, and ask us before you order if the date is fixed.
For gifts sent from elsewhere to a Jaisalmer address, tell the recipient a box is coming and add a card with care instructions: room temperature, no fridge for firm fruit, eat as it softens. Our mango corporate gift idea page covers business gifting, and for hotel and restaurant supply you can write to us about our HoReCa supply.
