An export quotation for Alphonso mangoes should name the product, grade, quantity, packing, price basis (FOB, CIF or another Incoterm), payment terms and validity. We hold APEDA registration 225579. Our freight, minimum quantity and export paperwork terms are not published, so they are quoted per enquiry, not assumed here.

What a quotation must contain
A quotation that fits on one line is not a quotation. Before you compare two suppliers, make sure both have answered the same list of questions. Otherwise you are comparing a price with a price plus a bill you have not seen yet.
| Line | What to confirm |
|---|---|
| Product and variety | Alphonso, origin district, GI status |
| Grade and size | Weight range per fruit, tolerance |
| Quantity | Boxes, fruit per box, net weight |
| Packing | Box type, labelling language |
| Price basis | Per box or per kg, and the Incoterm |
| Payment | Advance, letter of credit, balance on documents |
| Validity | How many days the price holds |
| Shipment window | Dates, mode (air or sea) |
Freight terms, plainly explained
Incoterms are standard shorthand from the International Chamber of Commerce. They state who pays for what and where the risk passes to you. The three buyers meet most often with fruit:
- FOB (Free on Board). The seller delivers the goods on board at the named port or airport (strictly FCA for air). You pay main freight and insurance. Risk passes to you once loaded.
- CFR (Cost and Freight). The seller pays freight to your destination port. You carry the risk in transit and usually arrange insurance.
- CIF (Cost, Insurance and Freight). As CFR, and the seller also buys minimum insurance.
For air shipments, FCA, CPT and CIP are the technically correct terms, though many buyers still write FOB. Ask for the version your bank and customs broker expect, and make sure the quote names the Incoterms edition. Our own terms are agreed per enquiry; we do not publish a fixed rate here.
Costs that sit outside the price
This is where cheap quotes get expensive. A line-by-line list:
- Origin handling and export clearance.
- Phytosanitary and other inspection certificates the destination requires.
- Cold chain or ventilated transit, depending on mode.
- Main freight and fuel surcharges.
- Destination port or airport charges.
- Import duty and local taxes.
- Your customs broker's fee.
- Delivery to your warehouse.
Ask that the seller splits the quote into these lines, so you can see which are in the price and which are yours. Rules differ by country, and import rules change, so confirm with your own broker or the destination regulator. We do not publish destination rules for each country.
What we publish and what we do not
Published and checkable: APEDA registration 225579, FSSAI Central Licence 10020022011783, and our GI Authorised User numbers AU/5974/GI/139/260 (Alphonso) and AU/6932 (Devgad). Our export page and APEDA notes cover what exists on record.
Not published: export price lists, minimum order quantities, credit terms, freight rates, and country-specific paperwork. I will not guess them here, and neither should a supplier who has not asked you where the fruit is going. For these, write to the team with your destination, quantity and shipment window.
How to ask for a quote
Send one message with everything in it. A complete enquiry gets a faster, more useful answer than a one-line "price please".
- Destination country and port or airport.
- Quantity and number of shipments across the season.
- Size grade wanted.
- Incoterm you want priced.
- Payment method you can offer.
- Any certificate or labelling your importer needs.
Use the contact page, WhatsApp +91 70830 75556 or support@alphonsomango.in. Season is usually February to June; the 2027 season is listed to start 1 February 2027, so ask early.
Quality and carbide
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally (on hay beds, as our FAQ states). Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. It releases acetylene and can carry arsenic and phosphorus impurities; controlled ethylene up to 100 ppm is permitted. As Brand Facts states, carbide and residue testing by Envirocare Labs is done weekly through the season. If your importer needs test evidence, request it in the quote. Do not rely on a float test; only a lab test proves it.
Domestic dozen prices, for reference
These are domestic retail prices, not export prices: ₹1,849 (small), ₹2,099 (medium), ₹2,499 (large), ₹2,699 (extra large) and ₹2,999 (jumbo) per dozen, free delivery in India, prepaid only. They show the size grades and weights (150 to 300 g per fruit) that a quotation can refer to. Dozens ship from the Ratnagiri and Devgad pages. Domestic orders ship by BlueDart; orders before 1:00 PM IST dispatch the same day, Monday to Saturday.
