People ask us how to send mangoes abroad every season. The short version is that it can be done, but it is not like posting a parcel within India. A fresh mango is perishable, every importing country has its own rules, and the paperwork depends on where the fruit is going. This page explains how it works, what rules to check, and exactly what we do and do not offer.

How sending mangoes abroad works
Whether you send one box to a relative or ship a trade consignment, the same steps apply in principle:
- Check that the destination allows the import. Some countries accept fresh Indian mangoes freely, some accept them only after a treatment, and some restrict them.
- Get the paperwork right. Fresh fruit usually needs an export declaration and often a plant health (phytosanitary) certificate from the Indian authorities. Commercial exporters also deal with registrations such as APEDA and an Importer-Exporter Code.
- Clear customs on arrival. The receiver may need to declare the fruit, pay duty and show the documents. Fruit that fails an inspection can be held or destroyed.
- Deliver while the fruit is still good. Alphonso is harvested firm and ripens over several days. The longer the journey, the less time the receiver has.

Rules to check first
Before you pay anyone to send mangoes abroad, ask these questions about the destination country:
- Is the import of fresh mangoes from India allowed at all?
- Is a phytosanitary certificate required, and who issues it?

- Are there limits on quantity for personal parcels versus commercial consignments?
- Who pays duty and handling charges, the sender or the receiver?
A trade export and a gift parcel are treated differently. A trade export needs a registered exporter and a buyer who handles import. A gift for family is a smaller matter, but the fruit still has to be allowed in.
Sending Alphonso mangoes to the UAE
The UAE is the one country where we ship directly. If you want to send Alphonso mangoes to the UAE, write to us first at support@alphonsomango.in or call 8369048029, and tell us:
- The delivery address in the UAE and the name of the receiver.
- How many dozens you want and which grade, if you have a preference.
- The month you want the fruit to arrive.
- Whether it is a gift, so we can note it.
We will reply with what we can do for that address and that month. We do not publish a fixed UAE delivery time or a fixed UAE price on this page, because we would rather confirm both with you than guess. Please do not assume that our India checkout covers a UAE address. The online checkout is built for delivery inside India.
The fruit side is the same as in India. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. The season opens on 1 February 2027, and fresh Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May.
Other countries: UK, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia and beyond
For other countries, we do not run a standard service. In the past, shipments to places such as the UK, Singapore, Malaysia and Saudi Arabia have been arranged through the customer's own contact abroad, by someone there who handles the receiving end. That is a one-off arrangement, not something you can select at checkout.
So if you are in, say, the USA, Canada or Australia and hope we can courier mangoes overseas to you, the honest answer is that we do not offer that as a service. If you have a trusted contact who handles import and clearance at your end, write to us and describe the plan. We will tell you whether we can take part. We make no promise until we have read the details.

Season and fruit condition
Fresh Alphonso is a seasonal fruit. Outside February to June we do not sell fresh Alphonso. Alphonso pulp tins are available all year, from Rs 590, and may suit a gift when fruit is out of season. We have not set up pulp shipping abroad, so for any overseas plan, write to us first.
Fresh mangoes ripen within days of arriving, and a customs delay eats into that window. Plan the date with the receiver before the fruit leaves.
