The most common soft drink contains sugar, salt, and sometimes different flavours. Another mainstream drink contains sweet mangoes blended with yoghurt or milk.
This drink recipe used fruit, yoghurt, milk, sugar, and cardamom. You may add a little milk to this drink as it is excessively thick.
You can use yoghurt if you are not fond of adding milk to your drink. You can sprinkle with saffron or rose water for extra flavour, but it is optional.
It is thick, sweet, and velvety, which is an ideal way to appreciate this tropical fruit! You can use yoghurt made from almond milk. You can use any other non-dairy milk. Avoid yoghurt made from coconut milk. It has a robust nutty flavour that may change your fruit flavour. You can even make this recipe vegan.
Recipe
Step 1: Add 1 cup of mango puree to a cup or bowl. You can mash the fruit and blend it. If fresh fruit is not available, you may use canned fruit.
Step 2: Add the yoghurt to a similar bowl. We prefer milk yoghurt, but you can use vegan alternatives.
Step 3: Add cold milk (or water) to make it more slender. Add more sugar and cardamom powder. You can also add Nutmeg Powder.
Step 4: Mix everything well. Empty the drink into serving glasses and let it cool before serving. You can use a submersion blender. Before serving, garnish with nuts and saffron strands.
