A mango gift box from AlphonsoMango.in is a box of Alphonso or Kesar mangoes sent by Blue Dart to the recipient's address. Alphonso dozens start from Rs 1,849 and Kesar boxes from Rs 999. Fresh fruit follows the season, which opens on 1 February 2027.
What a mango gift box is
We do not sell a separate gift-box product. A mango gift box from us is the box of mangoes itself, ordered with the recipient's name and address entered at checkout. It travels by Blue Dart and arrives at their door. The simplicity is the point: the gift is the fruit, and a fruit this seasonal is something most people do not buy for themselves.

Mangoes work as gifts because they are perishable, seasonal and tied to a place. A dozen of Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt tells the receiver you thought about the season. Fresh fruit follows the harvest, which runs from about February to June for Alphonso, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027.

If the recipient is a person who knows mangoes, Alphonso is the safer default, because it is what most people mean when they say mango as a gift. If the recipient is a family that cooks, a Kesar box is a friendly, lower-priced choice. A dozen of Alphonso weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade, and the largest Ratnagiri option goes up to Rs 5,399. Check the product page for the price of the grade you want.
How to send it, step by step
- Open the product page and choose the grade or box size.
- Add it to the cart and go to checkout.
- Enter the recipient's name, address and phone number as the delivery address. Add your own details for billing.
- Enter the PIN code and check what is possible for that address. About 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery, and the rest take longer.
- Tell the recipient to expect a box, so someone is home to receive it.
We dispatch by Blue Dart. We cannot promise a delivery day for a named city, because the PIN code decides it. Timing a gift for a birthday or a festival needs a margin of a few days for delivery and for ripening. There is no GST on fresh mangoes, and the invoice shows this.
Occasions that suit a mango gift
- Festival visits. A dozen of Alphonso is a common gift to carry or send for a festival in the season.
- Housewarming and family visits. A box that the family can share suits a home better than a single item.
- Birthdays and anniversaries in summer. The recipient gets something fresh on the day instead of a box that sits in a cupboard.
- Thank-you gifts. A mango box is a considered way to thank a doctor, a teacher or a neighbour.
- Get-well and new-baby gifts. Fruit is a gentle gift. If the recipient has a health condition or a restricted diet, ask them first.

What to send alongside
Many people pair fruit with something that lasts. We sell cashews, including W180 cashew nuts, which are available through the year and suit a gift that has to wait for the mangoes to ripen. They are separate products, so order them as their own item.

The thing you can order in any month is the Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin, in 850 g and 3.1 kg tins, from Rs 590. It makes a practical gift for a family that cooks, especially out of season, when fresh Alphonso is not on sale. A pulp tin is not the same as a fresh fruit gift, and we would not pretend it is.
What to tell the recipient
A mango is only a good gift if the person knows how to enjoy it. A short message helps.
- Open the box on the day it arrives.
- Lay the mangoes in a single layer at room temperature, away from direct sun.
- Check them daily by smell near the stalk and a gentle press at the shoulder.
- Eat them when they are soft. Ripe fruit can go in the fridge for a short time.
- If any fruit is damaged on arrival, report it within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in.

Corporate and bulk gifts
If you are gifting to many people, start with our corporate gifting guide and the gift form. Write to us with your quantity, the cities and your dates, and we will answer what is possible. GST applies on shipping for corporate gifting orders, and the invoice shows it. We also supply restaurants and hotels. For a longer read, see Corporate gift of Alphonso mango.
Gifts for family abroad
International delivery is limited. We ship directly to the UAE. For other countries, shipments have been arranged through the customer's contact abroad and are not a standard service, so write to us first. If you live abroad and want to gift someone in India, our NRI mango gift page explains the process.
How we ripen and what to ask any seller
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide gas is prohibited in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011, so a gift seller in any city should be able to tell you how the fruit was ripened.
We source Alphonso from 48 villages of the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt and hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). Our details are on the Brand Facts page. Our fruit is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, at Brahma Muhurta, before dawn. Kesar is a separate fruit from Gujarat. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and 47,000+ customers have bought from us, including offline and marketplace sales.

Can I send a mango gift to another city?
