Order Mango Online Mumbai — Products & Prices
Mumbai has always been Alphonso country. The fruit travels about 340 km from the Konkan coast to reach the city — but it used to take two days through a chain of commission agents, cold stores and market vendors, each step bruising the fruit a little more. We cut that chain. Fruit harvested in Ratnagiri or Devgad reaches our Mumbai packhouse in 10–12 hours by air-conditioned vehicle, ripens on a hay bed for 24–48 hours, then goes straight to your address.

Ratnagiri vs Devgad Alphonso — Which Should You Order?
Both carry GI Tag No. 139. Both ship from the same Mumbai packhouse in the same 5-ply corrugated box. The difference is in the orchard geography — and, at full ripeness, in the Brix reading.

| Customer preference (repeat-order data) | North India leans Ratnagiri | Mumbai leans Devgad |
Repeat-order data from 47,000+ customers shows that Mumbai buyers lean toward Devgad fruit. Prashant Powle's read on this: Mumbai's palate is calibrated to the slightly richer sweetness of sea-facing Sindhudurg orchards. That said, both are genuinely excellent. If you are ordering for the first time, Devgad is a reasonable starting point.
Delivery to Mumbai
Fruit leaves our Mumbai packhouse via BlueDart, Delhivery, Ekart or XpressBees — the courier depends on your pin code. Transit to most Mumbai addresses is 20–24 hours from dispatch. We dispatch fruit at 70–80% ripeness: firm enough to survive the box, ripe enough to be ready within about three days of delivery.
Each mango travels in a foam-net sleeve (flat width 50–55 mm, length 100–120 mm) inside a 12-slot partition. The partition carries the transit pressure; the fruit does not. The outer box is a top-and-bottom 5-ply corrugated fibreboard shell — 130 gsm paper, alternate flute orientation, six air holes top and bottom so the hay-bed ripening continues in transit.
If fruit arrives damaged or quality-failed, report it within 24 hours of delivery with photos or a short video on WhatsApp. No physical return is needed. We dispatch a fresh replacement or credit your account for the next purchase. Pre-orders can be cancelled before dispatch.
We do not sell fresh Alphonso from July to January. That is not a gap in our service; it is the honest limit of the season. Fruit available in those months from other sources is either cold-stored for months or not genuine Alphonso.
How to Order
- Step 1 — Select your grade: Choose Ratnagiri (₹1,849–₹5,399) or Devgad (₹1,849–₹5,499) on the product page, then pick your weight grade — Small (150–180 g), Medium (180–225 g), Extra Large (250–275 g) or Jumbo (275–300 g) — and your box size: half dozen, 1 dozen or 2 dozen.
- Step 2 — Add to cart: Complete checkout; enter your Mumbai pin code to confirm serviceability across 15,000–17,000 serviceable pin codes nationwide.
- Step 3 — Dispatch: We pack and dispatch your order via BlueDart, Delhivery, Ekart or XpressBees depending on your pin code; most Mumbai deliveries arrive within 20–24 hours of dispatch.
Where the Fruit Comes From
We source from 55 named villages across Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg districts. On the Ratnagiri side: Pawas, Golap, Nachane, Mavalange, Waravade, Purnagad, Gaonkhadi, Ambeshet, Mirya, Kalbadevi, Majgaon, Kasheli and Adi, among others. On the Sindhudurg side: Devgad, Jamsande, Vijaydurg, Dahibav, Girye, Kunkeshwar, Mithbav, Waghotan and more than 15 others in Devgad taluka, plus Achara, Tondavali and Shiroda in Malvan and Vengurla talukas.
Our 100+ partner farmer families run orchards that are typically 12–25 years old, selected on Brix consistency, tree longevity and how well each farmer manages the natural alternate-bearing cycle. Prashant Powle visits orchards before every season to confirm that cultivation SOPs — covering which natural sprays and fertilisers are used from flowering to harvest — are being followed.
How the Fruit Is Harvested
The tree is never shaken and the fruit never falls. Farmers use a Nutan/Zela pole fitted with a catching net and cutting mechanism. For tall trees, an indigenously developed length-extending pole with a camera identifies the correct fruit before cutting. From tree to our Ratnagiri or Devgad packhouse takes about two hours.
How We Ripen the Mangoes
Natural hay-bed (Aadi) ripening only, in temperature-controlled rooms — no ethylene chambers, no calcium carbide, no artificial ripening agents of any kind. The 24–48 hours at the Mumbai packhouse is natural ripening on hay, monitored, not gas-triggered. The foam-net sleeves and six air holes in the box keep airflow going so this process continues gently in transit.
We test for pesticide residues weekly through the season. Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. in Thane (NABL accredited, certificate TC-8284) issued report 01/ETHAP2500044 on 5 April 2025: all 28 residues within Codex maximum residue limits; 27 of 28 below the limit of quantification (0.01 mg/kg); thiamethoxam at 0.013 mg/kg against a Codex limit of 0.2 mg/kg. We say "independently tested, all residues within Codex limits" — not "pesticide-free", because one residue was detected within limits.
How We Grade and Pack Each Mango
Every fruit is weighed. AI/ML-assisted machine scanning checks each mango for internal issues (including spongy tissue) and external deformities before packing. A mango that fails either check does not go into a customer box — it goes back. We assumed the scanning step would catch maybe 3–4% of fruit. In peak season, it runs closer to 6–8% rejection, which is why the fruit that reaches you is consistently clean.
After harvest, fruit goes through a controlled hot-water treatment to reduce surface fungal issues and extend shelf life, then post-harvest cooling at the packhouse before the 10–12 hour air-conditioned road run to Mumbai.
Mango Season in Mumbai — When to Buy
When does Alphonso mango season start in Mumbai?
The season runs February to June, with peak supply in March, April and May. Early-season fruit (February–March) tends to be smaller and slightly less sweet as the orchards warm up. Peak-season fruit (April) is when Brix readings of 22–24° are most common. By June, supply tightens and the season ends naturally.
We do not sell fresh Alphonso July through January. Orders placed outside season are pre-orders for the following season.
Does mango price in Mumbai change through the season?
Yes. Early-season supply is lower, so prices at the top grades are higher. Mid-season (April) prices are typically the most stable. Late-season fruit can be scarcer again as the crop thins. The ₹1,849–₹5,499 range on our product pages reflects grade and box-size variation across the season, not a single flat price.
Nutrition: What You Actually Get Per 100 g
Ripe Alphonso pulp contains roughly 30–36 mg of vitamin C per 100 g. A 100 g serving meets about 40–45% of the ICMR-NIN 2020 recommended daily allowance for adult men (80 mg/day) and about 50% for adult women (65 mg/day). Mangiferin, a polyphenol found in Alphonso pulp, showed anti-inflammatory activity in cell studies (Govindappa et al., 2011).
Alphonso puree is suitable for babies from about 6 months as a serving suggestion — not medical advice; check with your paediatrician for your child's specific readiness.
