Buy Online Mango Fruit: Your Ultimate Guide - AlphonsoMango.in

To buy mango fruit online, choose the variety, pick a dozen size, enter your PIN code and order from AlphonsoMango.in. Alphonso starts from Rs 1,849 a dozen, Kesar from Rs 999 a box, and Blue Dart delivers to your door.

Before you buy mango fruit online

Buying mangoes online is easy once you know what to look for. A good seller tells you the variety, where it grew, how it was picked, how it was ripened and how it will reach you. A weak one shows a bright photo and a low price and says little else. This guide explains how to buy mango fruit online with confidence, using what we do at AlphonsoMango.in as the worked example.

Box of fresh mango fruit from AlphonsoMango.in ordered online

We are Powle Home Foods, a Mumbai business that sells fresh Alphonso (Hapus) and Kesar mangoes, Pairi mangoes, Alphonso mango pulp and cashews online across India. Fresh mangoes are a seasonal fruit, so the first thing to know is that fresh fruit is sold only in season. Our 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027.

Which mango to buy: Alphonso, Kesar or Pairi

Each variety suits a different taste. Pick the one that matches how you plan to eat it.

  • Alphonso (Hapus). The Konkan's best-known mango, with a rich, non-fibrous pulp. We sell Ratnagiri Alphonso and Devgad Alphonso. Both are the same variety from two parts of the Konkan coast.
  • Kesar. A Gujarat mango with orange pulp and a strong aroma, popular for aamras and milkshakes. See Kesar mango for the box sizes.
  • Pairi. A tangy-sweet Konkan mango that many families like for juice and for eating at the stone. See Pairi mango.

If you are new to the names, our guide to Indian mango varieties compares the main ones.

What mangoes cost online and why prices differ

Mango box prices at AlphonsoMango.in
Mango Box Price
Ratnagiri Alphonso 1 dozen and 2 dozen options From Rs 1,849 (largest option up to Rs 5,399)
Devgad Alphonso 1 dozen and 2 dozen options From Rs 1,849
Kesar Half dozen and 1 dozen From Rs 999 per box
Pairi 1 dozen Rs 2,799

Prices can change, so check the product page for the price on the day you order. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on the grade, so a larger dozen costs more because the fruit is bigger. We sell by the dozen or by the box and do not quote per-kilogram prices, because a kilogram figure hides fruit size, grade and ripening method. Compare boxes by variety, size and origin instead.

How the fruit is picked and ripened

Our Alphonso comes from 48 villages across the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt of the Konkan coast. We harvest at Brahma Muhurta, before sunrise, and the fruit is picked by hand with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so it does not fall to the ground. After harvest the fruit ripens naturally on hay beds before it is packed. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.

That matters because carbide ripening is illegal. Selling fruit ripened with calcium carbide (acetylene) gas is prohibited under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, licence number 10020022011783. Our guide to identifying carbide-ripened mangoes explains the clues you can check at home and why no single test is conclusive.

A checklist for buying mango fruit online

Use these questions with any online seller.

  • Variety and origin. Is the variety named, and does the seller say where it grew? We name the Konkan villages and the district.
  • Paperwork. Is there an FSSAI licence number you can check? Ours is 10020022011783. For Alphonso, we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139), set out on our Brand Facts page.
  • Ripening. Does the seller say how the fruit was ripened? A seller who stays silent on this deserves a follow-up question.
  • Packing and delivery. Does the seller name the courier and explain what to do if fruit arrives damaged? We ask customers to report damage within 24 hours of delivery.
  • Price. Is the price shown per dozen or per box, with the fruit size stated, rather than a bare per-kilogram figure?
  • Invoice. There is no GST on fresh mangoes, and our invoice shows it.

How delivery works

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. Delivery times differ by location, so we do not promise a day for any named city. Enter your address before you pay and read the estimate shown.

When the box arrives, open it on arrival and check the fruit. Spread the mangoes on a tray in a cool room with space between them. Keep firm fruit out of the fridge until it softens at the stalk end and smells sweet, then refrigerate ripe fruit if you will not eat it within a day or two. Our guide to ripening mangoes at home has the full method.

Beyond fresh fruit: pulp, cashews and bulk orders

Fresh mangoes are available only in season, but you can still enjoy the flavour for the rest of the year. Alphonso pulp tins start from Rs 590 and come in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes. Use the Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin for aamras, ice cream, shakes and desserts. If you are unsure of the difference between the two, read our guide on puree versus pulp. We also sell W180 cashew nuts.

We supply restaurants and hotels, and we also take larger orders for gifting. Write to us with the quantity, the delivery cities and the dates, and we will tell you what is possible. Our corporate gifting guide lists the questions to put to any supplier.

Choosing the right size and quantity

Start with how many people will eat the fruit and how fast. One dozen suits a small household over a few days. A second dozen suits guests, gifts or a house that eats a lot of mango. Our guide to ordering Alphonso online walks through the checkout steps, and the mango season guide shows the month-by-month picture of when each variety is at its best.

How to order (step by step)

Can I buy mango fruit online in India?

Which mango is best to buy online?

It depends on taste. Alphonso has a rich, non-fibrous pulp and suits eating and aamras. Kesar has orange pulp and a strong aroma. Pairi is tangy-sweet. We sell all three, so choose by how you plan to eat the fruit rather than by name alone.

How do I know online mangoes are not carbide-ripened?

Ask the seller how the fruit was ripened and whether it holds an FSSAI licence. No single colour or water test is conclusive. Our Alphonso is ripened naturally on hay beds, never with carbide gas, and our FSSAI licence number is 10020022011783.
