Alphonso mango delivery in Delhi: how it works
Delhi is the biggest market for Alphonso outside Maharashtra, and most of the searches that reach this page ask three things: can it be couriered from Mumbai, what does it cost, and how long does it take. We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in. We pack Alphonso by the dozen and send it to Delhi by courier, so the answer to the first question is yes.

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. Delhi, Gurugram, Noida, Faridabad and Ghaziabad PIN codes are covered by the same check. Enter your PIN code, read the delivery message the checkout shows and only then pay. We do not promise a delivery day for any named city, because it depends on the PIN code and the courier route.
- Colonies and societies: give the block, pocket and flat number, and tell the gate that a parcel of fruit is coming.
- Offices: name the person who will collect it, so the box does not sit at reception overnight.
- Mobile number: keep it switched on, since the courier may call before arrival.
- On arrival: open the box on the day it arrives. If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery by writing to support@alphonsomango.in or calling 8369048029.
Our delivery period guide and shipping charges guide cover the general rules.
Alphonso mango price in Delhi
We sell Alphonso by the dozen, not by the kilo. Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso start from Rs 1,849 per dozen. Larger grades cost more, and the largest Ratnagiri option goes up to Rs 5,399. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Check the product page for today's price, because it changes through the season.
If a Delhi market quotes a per-kilo rate, you cannot compare it directly with a dozen price unless you also know the grade and the weight. Ask for both. Also ask which variety is in the box, because "Alfonso" and "Alphonso" are the same fruit, and both spellings appear on Delhi stalls.

| Factor | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Grade (fruit size) | Bigger fruit per dozen means a heavier box and a higher price. |
| Origin | Ratnagiri and Devgad are the same variety; we do not rank one above the other. |
| Time in the season | Supply is best from March to May; prices move with supply. |
| Packing and courier | A ventilated corrugated box and a Blue Dart run from Mumbai are part of the cost. |
| Paperwork | An FSSAI licence and, for Alphonso, a GI Authorised User certificate are what you should ask any seller for. |
Go to the Ratnagiri Alphonso page or the Devgad Alphonso page to see the sizes. Our price in Delhi guide goes further on this.
Sending mangoes from Mumbai to Delhi as a gift
Many orders on this page are gifts: a son in Mumbai sending a box to parents in Delhi, or a company sending boxes to clients in Gurugram. The process is the same as an order for yourself. Enter the recipient's address and PIN code, not your own, and tell them a parcel is coming so it is not left at a gate in the heat.
For several boxes or a company list, write to us with your quantity, cities and dates before you pay, and we will tell you what we can supply. There is no GST on fresh mangoes. GST applies on shipping for corporate gifting orders, and the invoice shows it. Our corporate gifting guide and gift form have the details.
How the fruit is ripened, and ripening in a Delhi summer
We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Mature fruit is laid on hay and ripens by itself. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011. We are an FSSAI-licensed seller, and our details are on the Brand Facts page.

The fruit leaves Mumbai firm so that it survives the journey, and it finishes ripening in your kitchen. Delhi in April and May is hotter and drier than the Konkan coast, so fruit softens fast once it is indoors. Keep it at room temperature, away from direct sun and the air cooler's draught, and check it every day rather than counting days. Do not refrigerate unripe fruit. Once a mango is soft and fragrant near the stalk, eat it soon or chill it briefly.
No single look or smell proves how a mango was ripened, and a bucket-of-water test is only a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to spotting carbide-ripened mangoes lists what to ask a seller, and our ripening guide covers the steps.
GI paperwork for Alphonso
Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India (GI No. 139). For Alphonso, we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). Our fruit comes from across 48 villages of the belt and is hand-harvested with a zela pole fitted with a catching net, so the tree is not shaken. Ratnagiri is a district, and Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district. Ask any seller in Delhi for the certificate number behind a GI claim, and check that it names the seller. Our guide to the Alphonso mango GI tag explains the registry record.
Season, Kesar, and what to do when fresh fruit is out
Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Outside the season we do not sell fresh Alphonso, because the trees give one crop a year. Delhi buyers who also want Gir Kesar can see our Kesar mango page, priced at Rs 999 for a half dozen and Rs 1,699 for a dozen.
Our Alphonso mango pulp tin is available all year, in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes from Rs 590, and suits aamras, kulfi and milkshakes. See our aamras recipe. Nearby pages: mango online in Gurgaon and Alphonso mango online in Noida.
