Mango online in Gurgaon: what we deliver

Gurgaon, now Gurugram, sits in Haryana on the south-west edge of Delhi, and a large share of our north India orders go to its sectors, DLF phases and Golf Course Road towers. We are Powle Home Foods in Mumbai, and we run AlphonsoMango.in; we have sold mangoes since 2019, online since 2020, to 47,000+ customers, including offline and marketplace sales. We have no shop or agent in Gurgaon, and the order is placed on the website like any other Indian address.

Alphonso from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt is GI-tagged in India under GI No. 139, and we hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139). We source across 55 villages of that belt on the Konkan coast. Prices rise with fruit size, so check the product page for the current price.

Why Gurgaon orders Alphonso when the north has its own mangoes

North India is mango country in its own right. Dasheri from the Malihabad belt near Lucknow, Langra from Varanasi and Chausa from western Uttar Pradesh and Pakistan's Punjab reach Delhi's Azadpur mandi in quantity from June into July. They are excellent mangoes, and cheaper per kilogram than Hapus at a Gurgaon fruit stall.

Alphonso is a different fruit on a different calendar. It is harvested on the Konkan coast from about February to June, so it arrives in Gurgaon months before the local crop, in the weeks when the markets have little else. It is small, 150 to 300 g, with saffron, non-fibrous pulp and a strong aroma, and it is the mango most often sent as a gift. Our note on the Azadpur mandi mango rate and the mango price in Delhi cover the local market side.

Delivery to Gurgaon sectors and towers

We dispatch by Blue Dart, and about 65% of Indian PIN codes get next-day delivery. Check your PIN code at checkout. Orders received before 1 PM are dispatched the same day. We do not promise a delivery day for Gurgaon, because the PIN code and the courier route decide it. Enter your PIN code at checkout and read the message it shows.

Gurgaon addresses have two features that matter for a perishable box.

  • Gated towers and condominiums. Tell the gate or the concierge that a Blue Dart box of fruit is expected, and ask that it is sent up or kept indoors, not left at the gate in the sun.
  • Heat. From April onwards, Gurgaon afternoons are far hotter than the Konkan. Firm fruit ripens quickly in that heat, so open the box on arrival, spread the fruit in a single layer indoors, and check it daily.
  • Office deliveries. If the box goes to a workplace in Cyber City or Udyog Vihar, give a name and a mobile number that the courier can reach at the reception.

If anything is damaged, report it within 24 hours of delivery to support@alphonsomango.in or 8369048029. Our page on online mangoes delivery in Gurgaon and the Delhi NCR Alphonso page add detail for the region.

Choosing between Ratnagiri and Devgad, and the size grade

Ratnagiri is a district on the Konkan coast; Devgad is a taluka in neighbouring Sindhudurg district. Both grow the same variety under the same GI, and we do not rank one above the other or claim that one is sweeter or earlier. Pick either, or one dozen of each.

Which Alphonso grade suits which Gurgaon order
Order Grade to pick Why
Family eating through the week 150 to 180 g or 180 to 225 g, from Rs 1,849 One mango per sitting; fruit ripens over several days
Aamras for a weekend gathering Two dozen of a small or medium grade More fruit for the money; pulp quality is the same
Gift to a client or relative 250 to 275 g or 275 to 300 g, up to Rs 2,999 a dozen Larger fruit looks the part in the box
Office or corporate gifting Any grade, multiple boxes For corporate gifting orders, shipping is extra; write to us first

A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on grade. Our corporate gifting guide covers bulk orders.

Ripening and authenticity

We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds. Calcium carbide is prohibited for ripening fruit in India under Regulation 2.3.5 of the Food Safety and Standards (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Regulations, 2011, and we are an FSSAI-licensed seller. Our fruit is hand-harvested at Brahma Muhurta, before dawn, with a zela pole fitted with a catching net. Harvest to ripening of Alphonso takes about 15 days, so a box arriving with some firm fruit is normal.

Alphonso Hapus mango storage and ripening at home for Gurgaon customers

Gurgaon buyers see many "Alphonso" offers in April. Before you pay any seller, ask where the fruit is from (a taluka, not just a state), what the fruit weight is, how it was ripened and which FSSAI licence and GI details they can show. No single test proves authenticity, and the bucket-of-water test is a rough clue, not proof. Our guide to identifying authentic Hapus lists the checks, and our ripening guide explains what to do with firm fruit.

Season for Gurgaon orders

Alphonso is harvested about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. Fresh Alphonso is not sold outside the season, so an order placed before it opens is for the opening of the season. Kesar from Gujarat overlaps the later part of the Alphonso season. From July, when Dasheri and Langra fill the Gurgaon stalls, the Alphonso pulp tin is what we deliver. For a gift to a Gurgaon address, see our gifting page. Which city is famous for Alphonso mango in India?

Ratnagiri, on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra, with Devgad taluka in neighbouring Sindhudurg district. Alphonso from this belt carries GI No. 139 in India. Both grow the same variety, and the fruit we sell comes from these two areas, graded by size and sold by the dozen.

When should Gurgaon buyers order Alphonso?

Fresh Alphonso is sold only from about February to June, with the best supply and the widest choice of grades from March to May. The 2027 season opens on 1 February 2027. North Indian mangoes such as Dasheri and Langra arrive later, from June, so the two seasons barely overlap.
