Alphonso mango Udaipur delivery runs from February to June (the 2027 season starts on 1 February 2027) — AlphonsoMango.in delivers GI-tagged Hapus (GI No. 139) from Ratnagiri or Devgad at 18–24° Brix; see the current price on the product page.

Buy Alphonso Mango Online — Udaipur

Udaipur sits in the Aravalli Hills, far from any Alphonso-growing belt. That distance is exactly why online sourcing from the farm matters: the fruit you buy in a local Udaipur market has usually spent days in an uncontrolled cold store, handled multiple times, and ripened unevenly. We dispatch directly from our Mumbai packhouse within 48–72 hours of harvest, so the fruit you receive in Udaipur has been in transit fewer days than most local alternatives.

Ratnagiri vs Devgad: Which Box Should You Order?

Both carry GI No. 139. The difference is not one of quality — it's flavour profile and Brix position within the 18–24° range.

Delivery Across India

Every fruit leaves our Mumbai packhouse at 70–80% ripeness, firm enough to handle transit without bruising. We use 5-ply corrugated fibreboard (CFB) boxes with 130 gsm paper, a 12-slot partition that absorbs transit pressure, and a foam-net sleeve on each mango. The foam diamond mesh keeps air circulating so the fruit continues ripening evenly — and prevents the lenticel scars that appear when Alphonso skin rubs against another fruit or the box wall.

Orders placed before 12 noon IST (Monday to Saturday) are dispatched the same day. Delivery takes 1 to 3 days for most PIN codes and 1 to 2 days to most metros, depending on your PIN code. Fresh mangoes are delivered by Blue Dart to more than 4,700 PIN codes.

Courier is BlueDart, Delhivery, Ekart or XpressBees depending on your pin code. We do not dispatch in July–January — there is no Alphonso in season then, and we do not store old-season fruit.

If fruit arrives transit-damaged, photograph or video the box and mangoes and send it to us on WhatsApp within 24 hours of delivery. No physical return is needed. We replace the fruit with a fresh dispatch or credit your account for the next purchase — your choice.

How to Order in Three Steps

  1. Select your grade. Choose Ratnagiri or Devgad Alphonso; pick your size (Small 150–180 g, Medium 180–225 g, Extra Large 250–275 g or Jumbo 275–300 g) — each size band has its own price on the product page.
  2. Add to cart. Box options are half dozen, one dozen or two dozen; choose the quantity that suits your household or gifting need.
  3. Dispatch. We ship via BlueDart, Delhivery, Ekart or XpressBees depending on your Udaipur pin code.

Where the Fruit Comes From

Alphonso mangoes online in Udaipur — sourced from Ratnagiri and Devgad villages

Prashant Powle and the Powle Home Foods team source from 48 coastal villages across Ratnagiri and Devgad. On the Ratnagiri side, orchards in Pawas, Golap, Nachane, Mavalange and Waravade contribute to most early-season boxes. Devgad fruit comes from villages like Jamsande, Vijaydurg, Dahibav and Girye — coastal, sea-facing orchards where the salt breeze and laterite soil interact with the tree's root system in a way that affects the fruit's sugar concentration.

We work with 100+ partner farmer families. Orchards are typically 12–25 years old, selected on Brix consistency and how they manage alternate-bearing years. Cultivation follows strict SOPs on which natural sprays and fertilisers apply from flowering to harvest.

How is each mango harvested?

The tree is never shaken. Fruit is hand-harvested using a Nutan or Zela pole fitted with a catching net and cutting mechanism. For tall trees, we use an indigenously developed length-extending pole with a camera. Fruit that falls bruises at the shoulder — that's a transit-damage risk that shows up 3–4 days later as a soft patch. Hand-cut fruit doesn't have that problem.

What quality checks happen before packing?

Every fruit is weighed and graded. Then AI/ML-assisted machine scanning checks each mango for spongy tissue (internal browning) and external deformities before it enters a foam sleeve. Spongy tissue is invisible to the eye but the scanner catches it. That's why we can state a size grade with confidence rather than offering mixed-weight boxes.

Envirocare Labs Pvt. Ltd. (Thane, NABL accredited, certificate TC-8284) tests for pesticide residues weekly through the season. Certificate 01/ETHAP2500044, issued 5 April 2025: all 28 residues within Codex maximum residue limits; 27 of 28 below the limit of quantification at 0.01 mg/kg. We say independently tested, within Codex limits — not "pesticide-free", because one residue (thiamethoxam, 0.013 mg/kg against a 0.2 mg/kg limit) was detected within those limits.

How We Ripen Every Fruit

Natural hay-bed ripening — called Aadi ripening — in temperature-controlled rooms at our Mumbai packhouse. No ethylene chambers, no calcium carbide, no artificial ripening agents of any kind. The 24–48 hours the fruit spends on hay at the packhouse is monitored natural ripening, not gas-triggered. This matters because carbide-ripened fruit peaks fast and drops fast; hay-ripened fruit arrives at 70–80% ripeness and finishes ripening on your counter over about three days.

After harvest, the fruit goes through a controlled hot-water treatment to reduce surface issues and extend shelf life, then post-harvest cooling before transport. Air-conditioned vehicles move it from the Ratnagiri or Devgad packhouse to Mumbai in 10–12 hours. Total harvest-to-dispatch time: 48–72 hours.

Season and Availability

Alphonso season runs February to June, with peak supply from March to May. Outside those months — July through January — we do not sell fresh Alphonso. The fruit simply does not exist then in any quality worth shipping. The 2027 mango season starts on 1 February 2027, and fresh mangoes are out of stock until then.

Udaipur's summer heat (April–June) is actually a good match for the season window. You can order weekly through May and have fresh fruit arriving regularly.

Nutrition at a Glance

Ripe Alphonso pulp contains roughly 30–36 mg of vitamin C per 100 g. A 100 g serving meets about 40–45% of the ICMR-NIN 2020 recommended daily intake for adult men (80 mg/day) and about 50% for adult women (65 mg/day). The pulp is fibre-free and silky — no strings, which matters when you're making Aamras or feeding babies from around six months old (as a serving suggestion, not medical advice).

Govindappa et al. (2011) documented mangiferin's anti-inflammatory activity in cell studies. Mangiferin is present in Alphonso peel and pulp, though no clinical dosage claim is proven for whole fruit.

Ratnagiri and Devgad in coastal Maharashtra are the two places the GI Tag No. 139 recognises for Alphonso mango. Both Ratnagiri and Devgad Alphonso carry GI No. 139 and reach 18–24° Brix at full ripeness — neither is inferior. If you are ordering for the first time from Udaipur, Ratnagiri is the safer starting point for palates used to bold flavours.

Why is Alphonso mango costly?

Alphonso mango is costly because every step adds real cost: hand-harvesting with a pole and net so fruit never falls, AI/ML scanning to reject spongy tissue invisible to the eye, natural hay-bed ripening in temperature-controlled rooms, 5-ply CFB boxes with foam-net sleeves on each fruit, and air-conditioned transport from the Konkan to Mumbai within 48–72 hours of harvest.
