Alphonso mango Aurangabad Maharashtra – GI-tagged Hapus from Ratnagiri and Devgad

Alphonso mango in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, officially Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar since the renaming, is in the Marathwada region of Maharashtra, far from the Konkan coast where Alphonso grows. So there is no orchard down the road, and the question is how to get genuine fruit that is fresh and fairly priced. This page is written for that buyer. If you are searching for a Hapus mango price in Aurangabad, you want a number, a way to judge it and a way to order. We cover all three.

We sell Alphonso (Hapus) from the Ratnagiri and Devgad belt on the Konkan coast, sourced across 48 villages. We hold GI Authorised User certificate AU/5974/GI/139/260 (GI No. 139), and you can read the details on our Brand Facts page. Our fruit is harvested by hand with a zela pole and a catching net in the pre-dawn hours. We do not use carbide. Our Alphonso mangoes are ripened naturally on hay beds.

Hapus mango price in Aurangabad

Our Alphonso is priced by the dozen, from Rs 1,849 per dozen. The largest Ratnagiri option goes up to Rs 5,399, and the largest listing on our order-online page goes up to Rs 10,499. The price depends on the grade, which is the size of each fruit. A dozen weighs roughly 1.8 to 3.3 kg depending on the grade. Prices can change, so check the product page for today's price before you pay.

We do not publish a per-kilo price, and you should be careful with any per-kilo number you see for Alphonso. A per-kilo price tells you little unless you also know the size of the fruit, the variety and how it was ripened. A dozen of small fruit and a dozen of large fruit can cost very differently and still both be genuine. That is why we show the grade on each product page and let you choose.

How to compare sellers when you buy Alphonso online

Whether you buy from us or from anyone else, put the same questions to every seller. Write the answers down side by side before you decide.

Questions to put to any Alphonso seller
Question What a clear answer looks like
Which region is the fruit from? Ratnagiri or Devgad, named on the product page
How was it ripened? A direct answer. Carbide ripening is prohibited in India under FSSAI Regulation 2.3.5
What do you get for the price? A dozen, with the grade and a typical weight range
Who delivers it? A named courier and a PIN code check at checkout
What if it arrives damaged? A stated window for reporting. Ours is within 24 hours of delivery

No home test proves that a mango is a genuine Alphonso, and the bucket or water test is a rough clue, not proof. Our guides on identifying authentic Hapus mango and carbide-ripened mangoes explain what is and is not a reliable clue.

Ratnagiri and Devgad dozens

Both are Alphonso. Ratnagiri is a district and Devgad is a taluka in Sindhudurg district, and the fruit is the same variety. We do not rank one above the other. Each has its own page: Ratnagiri Alphonso and Devgad Alphonso. Open both and read the grade options, then choose the one that fits your budget. If you want a first trial, a single dozen in the smaller grade is the cheapest way to try us.

Think about how you will use the box. A dozen of smaller fruit suits eating fresh across a few days. Larger fruit is good if you plan to cut and serve it at a family meal, and some customers choose the larger grades for gifting.

Aamras, pulp and the months outside the season

Aamras is the Maharashtrian way to enjoy ripe Alphonso: blend the ripe flesh, add a little sugar only if needed and serve it with puri or chapati. Wikipedia describes Alphonso pulp as rich, creamy and non-fibrous, which is why it blends smoothly. Fresh Alphonso is harvested from about February to June, with the best supply from March to May. Outside that window we do not sell it.

For the other months, our Alphonso Mango Pulp Tin is available all year in 850 g and 3.1 kg sizes, from Rs 590. It works for aamras, milkshakes, kulfi and halwa. You can order it any time, and it keeps the Alphonso flavour in your kitchen when the fresh fruit is out of season.

Kesar as a second box

If Alphonso is not available or you want variety, we also sell Kesar mango, a Gujarat mango. A half-dozen box is Rs 999 and a dozen is Rs 1,699. It is a different variety from a different region, and it is sold in season only. We do not call it Alphonso, and we do not describe it as GI-tagged.
